Good post Aqua.... seems like everyone jumping on the "Floyd afraid of Manny" bandwagon...
I myself just wanna see the boys get together and give us a good fight... I really don't care who wins... Just wanna see a good boxing match.
But from everything in the media and articles,,, seems that Floyd is the one holding up the fight.
Hell,,,, there have been MANY fighters who have LOST and they were on drugs. Just cuz yer taking drugs dont make you a winner!!
Most ALL cyclists are on drugs... only one is the winner.
If Floyd figures he is the best fighter in the world,, he has to fight Manny... drug test one week before AND after the fight... as they do now.
The great Rocky Marciano would kick anyone's ass,,,,,, drugs or no drugs!
Again,,, I just want to see a great boxing match. ALL the great ones in boxing have always fought each other!!!
These two are the only ones that have not...
If Floyd is the one holding this up.... Then I have to agree with Arum and ESPN... But now we gonna hafta wait 2 more years.
Floyd is looking bad in the press.... Time for him to step up to the plate and say...."enough b.s. lets do it!"

Afraid of a right hand that hasn't put anyone to sleep. Nonito has done it a few times, not Manny. Three times Juan visited the canvas and got up to beat him. Floyd beat the hell out Juan, Juan said that Floyd is better than Pacquiao. Who do you want me to believe, a commentator from espn or Juan Manuel Marquez

Great post as usual aqua.....
PBF is an attention whore, everybody can agree with that statement. Pbf loves the limelight, loves the mics, loves the questions, loves the mystery etc etc----and PBF over the long term has got more attention by NOT fighting PacMan than he ever would have by getting in the ring and getting the fight over with. Trilogy or not. Is he afraid?..of Pac, no.... is he afraid that after the fight win or lose the pages of history will turn and he will lose the spotlight...yup.

There are many significant issues involved with both boxers at this time. Mommy Dionisia has been pleading with her son to quit boxing even when she blesses Manny with "one more permission to fight" -against Marquez. Pacquiao's closest friends know how much he respect his mother. He has announced not too long ago that he has been considering retirement to concentrate on "executive duties" in his country as governor of the province of Sarangani. (He feels stymied with bureaucracy in congress.) A spectacular win on Nov 12 might do it for him.

As for Boy Floyd, in spite of flamboyance and outward appearance of "being in control", he is fighting a lot of demons: the IRS, his many legal issues, his gambling addiction, and now, he is about to be a father again amidst all these talks and criticisms. And Rom X is right....he does not fear Pacquiao but has a psychological fear of losing. Cobra, you are right. The spot light he used to enjoy is slowly dimming, not because of his boxing skills but because of the many shenanigans he had started. His demeanor against Ortiz and later that night with Larry Merchant is not a sign of being "totally in control" but rather the opposite.

Ha ha ha.... great post Fib.... enjoyed it again.
Floyd is an excellent fighter. That is why he is undefeated.. And thats why he would come in as the favorite against Manny if they ever fight.
No arguing that point. I love watching Floyd fight.. he is all about how to box and punch. Has become very aggressive in his last fights.
The best part of his boxing ability is he is so hard to hit. I know he would hit Manny with that right hand lead. How would he take Manny's
punches? Thats what we all want to find out.
Lets hope he swallows some pride and signs on the dotted line.
The whole world is waiting for this one. Both excellent fighters... Lets just do it!

This is about winning, Pacman never fought Chico Corrales or Arturo Gaty, why?????? Marquez looked lost in the ring with Floyd but beat the hell out of Pacquiao, show me Manny's face after the fight with Marquez and look at Floyd's......the Mexican killer never fought Corrales.

He has victories over an abundance of excellent fighters that include:

1996: First professional bout against Roberto Apodaca who he knocked out in the 2nd round.

1999: Mayweather won the WBC Junior Lightweight championship against Genaro Hernandez who had never been beaten at this particular weight. His corner stopped the bout after round 8.

2001: Mayweather fought Diego Corrales, at the time Corrales had never been defeated or even knocked down. Mayweather won every round and knocked Corrales down 5 times and Corrales’ corner stopped the fight.

2002: Mayweather stepped up to lightweight and faced Jose Luis Castillo twice for the WBC and Ring Lightweight belts. Mayweather won both bouts and on the night of the second bout Castillo outweighed Mayweather by 9 pounds. Castillo weighed 147 and Mayweather weighed 138 (for those who say he only fights smaller fighters).

2004: Mayweather moved up to Junior Welterweight and fought DeMarcus Corley. He knocked Corley down in rounds 8 and 10 but won the bout by UD.

2005: Mayweather fought the great Arturo Gatti for the WBC Super Lightweight title. Floyd landed with almose every big shot he threw in a total dominance of Gatti and Gatti’s corner stopped the bout after round 6. Giving Mayweather a 3rd world title.

2005: Floyd went on to fight Sharmba Mitchell at 147 in a none title bout which ended in round 6 after a straight right to the body.

2006: Mayweather fought Zab Judah for the IBF and IBO world welterweight titles. Mayweather won by UD with the official scorecards of 116-112, 117-111 and 119-109.

2006: Up next was WBC and the Ring welterweight champion Carlos Baldomir who was totally dominated and Floyd won by UD.

2007: Mayweather stepped up to face Oscar De La Hoya for the WBC Super Welterweight title which required Floyd to step up from 147 to 154lbs. Mayweather won by split decision.

2007: He fought the undefeated Ricky Hatton and defended his WBC Welterweight belt totally dominating Hatton and eventually getting him out of there in round 10.

2009: He came out of retirement to face the excellent Lightweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez in a totally outstanding performance between 2 world class fighters, but Floyd made Marquez look like an amateur.

2010: Mayweather beat Mosley
