wire disc on a circular grinder would work well for the large areas and the tiny tight spots

Professional toilet bowl cleaner, 23 percent hydrochloric acid. Rubber gloves and face mask required. Don't breathe fumes. Neutralize with baking soda. Sharpens files too, don't overdo it though.

spray them down good with fluid film or rust check spray and let them sit for a day or two. scrub them down with a rag. it wont get all the rust but it does a pretty good job.

Don't forget, I'm old, wise, and lazy. I know the shortcuts. :)

Naval Jelly. Works every time. The chrome headlights on my buggy were rusty. Put it on with a paint brush. Wait 10 minutes. Wash off with a hose. Repeat if needed. Then WAX it.

There is a product called CLR..that will remove the rust from the tools.
Basically is 20 % hydrocloric acid as mentioned by sneer above

Your table saw is not made of cast iron.. it is "cast steel" different metal altogether.. Cast steel is non-porous metal while cast iron is porous and will absorb the CLR..
CLR will remove the rust and then a light coat of oil will prevent it from instantly rusting again.
The CLR will remove all traces of oil hence my caution to oil immediately after use.

I read the specs on my Delta Unisaw and it dis say "Cast Iron".. I basically wanted to remove the rust the 'lazy man's" way...lol.. I have done with "elbow Grease" before and it's time consuming and well you know.. That's why I am trying to find the easiste way as I have other tools also that have been hibernating for the winter.. Hehehe.. Cheers Any.........
