Hello All,

I am looking for a switch solution to run both FTA and Bell receivers.

My hardware

2 - Bell 6131

1 - SV8000

1 - Toroidal T55 - 82, 91, 110, 118/119

1 - 18" oval for 61.5

1 - 9x4 Multiswitch

2 - SW 21

Currently I have the 2 Bell receivers come from the dual LNB 82 and 91 into 2 - SW21 and the SV8000 has 61.5,110, and 118/119 LNB into the 9x4 multi switch.

Before I had the 61.5, I tried a having 82, 91, 110, 119 on the multi switch but the Bell receiver did not work so I had install the 2 SW21's.

What I would like to have is the SV8000 all 5 (61.5,82,91,110,118/119) and the Bell with 82 and 91

I would also accept the SV with only the 4 (61.5,91,110,118/119) if I could reuse the multi switch.

So basiclly I need to split the 82 and 91 LNB into the 2 Bell reciever Sw21's and into the multiswitch.

Would appriciate any ideas on how to accomplish this

Cheers,

John

Some of the Bell receivers may not like to play with the LNB's used for the T-55, also the 9 x 4 switch might not play well with them, and unless you used the M20-R LNB for 82 and 92 you also may have a bit of a problem, if you used the dual output LNB's for 82 and 91 then you could use the SW 21 switch to run the second output on the 2 LNBs for those satellites to the Bell receiver.

To use what you have to work for all 5 sats to the SV8000 and for 82 and 91 to work on your Bell receivers you will need 3 more switches: two 3x4 multiswitches and 1 more SW21 or a 22KHz switch. The other option to keep it simple would be to use a 4x1 DiSEqC switch in place of the 9x4 multiswitch - still need the other 3 switches.

You would place one 3x4 on 91 and the other on 82. Your 2 SW21s would be fed from the 3x4s to output to the 2 6131 receivers. A 3rd feed from each 3x4 would feed the 4x1 DiSEqC along with feeds from the 110 and the 118/119 LNBs. The Output from the 4x1 would input to that 3rd SW21 or 22KHz switch along with a feed from 61.5. The SW21/22KHz switch would then output to your SV8000. If you use the 9x4 multiswitch you will need 2 feeds from each of 110, 118/119, 91's 3x4, & 82's 3x4.

Of course this only works if those Toroidal LNBs play nice with the switches as per Terryl's caution.
