Im setting up 2 dish 500's with dishpro twins (sw21 built in)
for 82 91 110 119, do i run 1 cable from each dish to a Disque Switch
or a splitter or another SW21?
im thinking 2 from each lnb to a Disque ports 1-4
cant find any diagrams or discussion with my handy search button+
thanx guys:yes:

they do not have a sw21 built in. they have built in diseqc. 119 = 1 110 = 2. You have a couple of options. one would be getting a dp44 switch, but the simplest and cheapeast way would be to use a 22khz switch between the 2 or even a sw21. You can not use a splitter. Another diseqc won't work either because they already have them built in and it just won't work right.

A coax from each lnb to a 22khz, or a sw21, and one to the stb.

Have you tried to use the DiSEqC switch ? Run a cable from each lnb to a port ( 110 on port 1, 119 on port 2, 82 on port 3 and 91 and port 4 ) and run a cable from the DiSEqC to your box, go into menu settings and match the port numbers as you connected them, and scan...

BPG~

Edit: you can use the lnb type as "standard"

Yes, a DPP44 switch, a SW21 switch or a 22KHz switch:

Which ever way you decide to go, remember to change your receiver(s) settings to reflect your new setup.

Most fta receivers won't handle the load of two dpp lnbs. They take up alot of power.

If power is an issue then the DPP44 switch with the power insertor is the right choice.

STOP: Which LNBs do you have? Are they 2 DishPro Twins or 2 Legacy Twins? All recommendations in this thread are based on your LNBs being DishPro Twins. If you have Legacy Twins then 2-22KHz switches would be the switch setup needed.

Yes sorry they are Legacy twins not DP
i set up one yesterday for 82 and 91 ran it thru an SW21 no signal!
bypassed the SW21 and even though got good S on both there was no Q on 82
today im going to put a pair of legacy singles on the Y and run it thru a DiSEqC
probably do the same with 110 and 119 - my finder is geared for multible singles anyways

The Legacy Twins have a Legacy SW42 switch built into it, so you can NOT place a SW21 switch in line of it. You have to use a 22KHz switch or a DiSEqC switch.
