Charlotte, NC (Sports Network) - Gerald Wallace poured in 29 points, grabbed 12 rebounds, and blocked four shots, as the Charlotte Bobcats handled the Detroit Pistons, 88-76, at Time Warner Cable Arena.

Stephen Jackson added 13 points, eight rebounds, and four assists for the Bobcats, who snapped a three-game skid. Nazr Mohammed ended with 12 points and nine rebounds off the bench while Raymond Felton chipped in 10 points and eight assists for Charlotte, which shot 48.6 percent from the field.

"It was huge. It makes Christmas a whole lot better right now. Now we just got to try to get this win in Oklahoma City and turn things around," Wallace said.

Rodney Stuckey had 20 points for the Pistons, who have dropped five in a row since a season-high five-game winning streak. Will Bynum tallied 12 points and four assists while Chucky Atkins donated nine points for Detroit, which shot 37.8 percent from the floor.

With the score tied at 19 in the final minute of the first frame, the Bobcats bridged the first two quarters with a 13-1 run to take control. Wallace and D.J. Augustin each had five points during the burst, which Jackson capped with a layup for a 32-20 lead with 8 1/2 left until half.

Charlotte ripped off seven straight points moments later to make it a 41-24 game with less than five minutes to go. The score was 52-36 at the break.

The Bobcats maintained their large margin throughout the third and led 69-55 heading to the fourth.

The Pistons never got closer than 10 the remainder of the way.

"It's not fun losing, and it does play on you a little bit. But these guys are going to bounce back," Pistons head coach John Kuester said.

Game Notes

Detroit defeated Charlotte, 98-75, on November 11 this season at The Palace, and had won two straight, eight of nine and 13 of the previous 16 meetings between the clubs...The Pistons were without guards Richard Hamilton (sore right hamstring) and Ben Gordon (ankle) on Tuesday. Hamilton has missed four straight games, while Gordon has been sidelined the past eight contests.
