Had them all go eventually! Try enclosing them!

They do sell inexpensive switch covers - fleabay amongst other places.

The switches should not be breaking on you so often - I have some of the cheap diseqc that came with the receiver going for 5+ years now .

If the switches are exposed to the elements, they'll die fairly quickly when water gets in and corrodes everything. You should think of either enclosing them, or relocating them inside. 4"x4" PVC electrical boxes with a gasketed cover work well to enclose the switches.

I'm in central Canada as well. We go from very hot to Very cold With lots of rain and snow.
I took my switch and duck taped it to the back of the dish near the top lip. I covered the switch and the cables. I did this 3 years ago and it is still up there with no problems at all. I even took it down the other day to switch out my LNB and add another dish to the mess.

I have been using EMP-Centauri switches for 4 years. They have to be enclosed in a weatherproof box. Here is one type of such box:

i prefer to use dishpro equipment,
its weather sealed, its bandstacked, its DiSEqC and it works 100%
ive installed them for MANY years, and never had to go back to replace an lnb or switch,
if you jsut need 119-110 (or 91-82) use a dishpro or dishpro plus twin lnb, thats all you need,
port1 is 119 (91), port2 is 110 (82)
if you need more then 2 boxs, then you add either a dp quad lnb, its like a dp twin, but with 4 outputs for 4 rcvrs.
or you can add a dp34, and get 3 lnb in, and 4 rcvrs out, so you can add in 129 or 118, if you need 4 orbitals,
then you use a dpp44 4 sats in, 4 rcvrs out, so you can have 119-110-129-118 using all dishpro lnb's
you can also cascade these switches to add more switches and rcvrs, 4 at a time, :)
good luck

Unfortunately dpp lnbs are power hogs and some fta receivers have a hard time running them thus requiring the use of a power inserter . Not an ideal solution either . Not to mention the cost of the switches you suggested .
