Hi guys I have a question I had signal 110 and 119 running off a switch than one day i lost 110, im getting 5 s and 0 q so i thought it was the switch so i replaced that but still same problem, would this be my lnb by the sounds of it?

Connect to the 110 lnb directly, no switch ( try both ports) - what happens ?

Try by-passing the switch by using an "F" barrel connector and see if you get anything.

It could be water in the connectors or a bunky connector.

if you get zip that way try a direct run (temporary) with a new coax, if you still get zip then the LNB may be toast, did you have any electrical storms or move any of the connections while powered up?

Also double check your settings for the 110 LNB in your receiver, some thing may have changed.

it rained pretty hard the weekend that the problem started what is a barrel connector ?

It connects the two coaxes together, thus by passing the switch.

Looks like this.

You could have water in the coax or one of the connectors, look for rust or corrosion when you get a chance to look at it.

ok thanks never thought of that so would i put my one coax coming from 110 on one end and my receiver coax on the other end so it would run direct bypassing switch

Yup, that's right and it's the quickest way to see if its the coax or connectors.

If its the coax and you didn't see any corrosion in or one the connectors you won't get 110.

If it's corrosion on the connector or center conductor you may get an improvement in the "S" from that LNB.

ok thanks i will try that tommorow nite and let you know what happens so if anything changes it would be coax and if all the same then lnb?

If you get the same results then try running a new temporary coax directly from the LNB to the receiver (through the window maybe?) if it works then it's the coax, if it doesn't then its the LNB.

Also be sure to power down the receiver with the switch in back before you mess with the coax.
