Real tough woman to hit a senior citizen. She must feel real proud of herself. Something to brag to her children about certainly.
Pfet!

I too hate the checking of receipts at walmart but the greeters are just doing their job.

What's sad is it could be someone trying to supplement their small Soc Sec check and wal-mart gave them that job instead of that person having to take a handout to help. A sense of purpose. A feeling of worth if you will.

I bought a hardrive before xmas and paid for it in the electronics dept.I then bought something else and paid for it at the regular registers. The hardrive triggered the bells and whistles as I was leaving, the "greeter" looked in the bag at the other item receipt($2.25) and said ok.A dishonest person could have used any old receipt and ripped off a new hardrive.Sort of useless if they don't have the smarts to compare receipts with the actual item.

The bell ringers outside for salvation army get paid more.I didn't realize until this year that they are paid for doing that.

I think it's minimum wage they get paid. Not sure on that. Not all seniors can handle the wind and the cold like they could when they were younger. As you may know as you age, your skin is not as thick, so you get colder eaiser :(

I know goodwill gets away with paying them less than minimum wage, like less than 1/2.
