I'd like to connect my DPP44 switch with 110/118/119/129 and 97 with my Nfusion.

I checked at the post here: http://www.satfix.net/showthread.php?1161-Switch-Diagrams-Pics, on these two pictures: http://www.satfix.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=436&d=1256564885 and http://www.satfix.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=437&d=1256564885 but I did not see 97 in these setups.

What other switch do I need in order to achieve my goal? What would be the ports to use on my NFusion STB? Would I need a 8-1 Disecq instead of a 4-1? What about the DPP switch? If I don't have any sub receiver with DISH, can I simply leave alone the port 1 of that switch and not use the power inserter at all? I don'y want to damage my NFusion STB.

Thanks for your advices.

I would suggest that you connect 110/118/119/129 to the DPP44 and the output of the DPP44 to a SW21 switch. The 97 sat would connect to the Sat B of the SW21 and the output to your receiver. If you have more receivers, then you would need more SW21 to match.

Thanks for your advice. What about the settings on the NFusion? I mean Diseqc mode, Diseqc option, Legacy SW and others. Also, what would be the port numbers to use on the NFusion to match those from the other switches? I also remark that there would be no need to physically use a Diseqc switch with this setup, is that right?

PVRUser, your link setup of http://www.satfix.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=436&d=1256564885 is correct and that is what I was trying to direct to you.

I want to make note to you that I don't have an NFusion and right now and my Viewsat system is put away while the public servers are down so I cannot test it. You gotta bear with me because this is all from memory from my years of Viewsat and logic of the setup:

1) Sats 110/118/119/129 will have LNB Type of OCS DP
2) From the http://www.satfix.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=436&d=1256564885 you would use your 97 LNB in place of the 82 and 91. I don't know if you are using DP lnb or Standard LNB for your 97 so you would have to determine that to set your sat 97 LNB Type.
3) Switch setup for 119 Switch Type SW21 and would be Dish 1, Port 1
4) Switch setup for 110 Switch Type SW21 and would be Dish 1, Port 2
5) Switch setup for 129 Switch Type SW21 and would be Dish 1, Port 3
6) Switch setup for 118.7 Switch Type SW21 and would be Dish 1, Port 4
7) Switch setup for 97 Switch Type SW21 and would be Dish 2, Port 1

Again, this may not be exactly correct but with a bit of testing you will have it right. Someone else with a NFusion may help you better, but I think this should be enough to get you to work it out. I've been doing this as a fun hobby for about 15 years but would never call myself an expert on switching, nevertheless should you get stuck just post a photo of your physical setup and a posting your settings and readers should be able to help you get it done. Good luck.

Your info on settings is for the most parts correct however needs a bit of clarification. The settings for the SW21 would be done under the Legagy Switch portion of the Antenna Setup page while the ports would be setup under the Diseqc setting in the Anetnna Setup. For 97W he would set the Legacy Switch settings to SW21 Dish 2 but would have NO Diseqc switch setting.

For 97W you need a standard Linear LNB. You probably already know this but do not connect a FTA STB to the power inserter (input port 1) on the DPP44.

Thanks to both of you, that's great info. I have a few more questions.

1- Like I said, I don't have any sub receiver, just a NFusion. I read that I must not connect any FTA to the port one of the DPP44 with the power inserter, OK. But, even if I don't have any sub receiver, what do I do with this port? What about the power inserter, do I still need to connect it? And if so, where do the RG6 cable would go? It's because I'm confused with post #4 here: http://www.satfix.net/showthread.php?66356-nFusion-HD-with-dish-1000-plus-and-dpp44

2- Finally, let say I wouldn't have the 97 sat. In this case, would I still need any SW21 or I would connect the cable from port 2 of the DPP44 directly to the NFusion? Also, what would be the NFusion settings in such case (i.e Antenna Setup, Disecq...)?

3- Here, let say I have the same settings than here: http://www.satfix.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=436&d=1256564885 (so with 82 and 91 with same LNB types) but I would like to add 97, how would I do this (including all settings for the switches and the NFusion settings as well)?

Yes you need the power inserter to run the DPP44 switch, it takes 22 volts at 1 amp to run it and the D1000 LNB, plus any other LNB attached to LNB input port #4, you run a coax from the power inserter's output directly to receiver port # 1 of the switch.

Without the 97 Sat, you would run the coax directly from receiver port #2 of the switch to the NFusion, switch settings are Diseqc #1=119W, #2=110W, #3=129W, #4=118W.

If you only had 91W and 82W, then 97W would go to LNB input port #4 of the switch, DIseqc switch settings would be #1=91W, #2=82W and #4=97W.

Thanks ottid142 for the clarifications. It's been a while since I've played with my switching configurations.

PVRUser,
1- The FTA receiver does not provide adequate power for the DPP switches and lnbs so the power inserter is needed for your setup. Just use the power inserter for the first output port and the remaining 3 for your receivers. For satelite you need to use RG2 cables throughout your setup from the dish to the switch and from switch to the receivers.
2- This answer is quite obvious, if you're only catching 4 sats or less than you only need the DPP44. If you're trying to catch more than 4 then that is why I suggested adding the SW21. The # of sats, and type of LNBs would determine yours switching requirements.
3- Don't understand your question. Do you have 82 & 91 or do you have 97?
