Birdog Ultra and 129w

Hey ppl just updated my Birdog ultra a month ago and tried to point a dish for a friend to 129w no luck. Everything else picks up just fine so i called another friend of mine who has a birdog Usb 2.0 and picked up 129 in 5 min. After we secured the nuts and volts i pluged my ultra and tried to see if it picks 129 now againe no luck, tried

BR Dishnet 129
Dish 1000.2 129
Dish 1000.4 129

still no Signal. Am i missing something please if someone can shed some light on this. Thanks

Are you certain that it updated correctly? The first 16 tps on 129W are spot beams and do not have signals in all areas. Generally you pull a signal from a conus tp like 12516 when pointing a dish.

I'm positive, so you think I should use tp21 0n 129w which is the 12516. I could be wrong but as far as i know birdog Ultra don't need to be on a spacific tp to pick up signal

I believe the ultra has the capability to scan up to 5 tps at a time to pull in signal data, but it depends on the software which ones it uses. Selecting known active tps is the only certain way to get signals from a satellite.

what type of birdog do you have jechill and what update do you have

i just updated my ultra and have only certiain sats, i was able to pick it up no problem as well

I know it has been a while but do you still have problems with the meter? If it is doing that it isnt the program file, it is something in the tuner, let me know if you want it repaired and I will give you the link to my repair website where I personally repair satellite meters.
