B&V DPP setup and fta combo?

I have a friend with a new B$V sub. They gave him a DPP LNB with a single cable running down into the house. At his receiver, the cable goes into a DPP seperator, which splits the line into two (91 & 82) for the dual tuner receiver.
Now he wants to ad an Ilink 9500 into the equation. Does he have to replace the seperator with a dpp44 switch in order to get both bird signals to both the B&V receiver and the iLink?? Has anyone done this setup before??

Any suggestions will be great.

Sorry for the late reply. If it is a DPP Twin or a DPP Quad, just run a second cable from the LNB to the iLink. No need for the DPP44 at this point. He may need to have the Bell Sub powered on at all times. The DPP Twin has a 3rd port which is an input port, so do not use that one.
