just wodering what the motor does for you free to air dish and will a star choie daul sat quad out put switchable ku lnbf is any good for a free to air signal.

No, it's a little too small for true fta and complicated to motorise elliptical dish. My suggestion is a 36"-48" dish with an invacom quad for both circular and linear. There are several motors out there which can move your dish, more recently the DG380 motor comes highly reccomended because of all metal components.
