Please see attached picture of the dish I have. I'm able to get 110 & 119 just fine, but I want to add (or have) 118 instead of the 129. Is there a way to do that with this dish. Note I do have a standalone circular lnb (which I believe can be used to get 118), but I can't think of a way to swap it with the my HD-Turbo dish.
Any suggestions please....Thanks

The lnbs you have now will not work to receive 118...I would use a D500+ lnb it will receive 119 and 118 plus it has bracket on the side to be used to receive 110..The lnb to the right of your pics will go on it...look at my pic..This is a d500+ and a d1000+ lnb

Thanks Bro! Can this lnb be used on the same dish I have (turbo-hd), which is slightly smaller (less wider)than the the Dish Plus or Dish 1000, which typically this LNB is mounted on? thx again!

Check the size of the arm holding the LNB, you might be able to purchase the 1000+ LNB assembly and connect it to your existing dish.

The Dish 1000.2 pan is too small for 118.

This is why they make the Dish 500 plus, and the Dish 1000 plus, the dish pan is bigger to get 118, 118 is a linear bird and it has a lower power output, it has about 2/3 the power as the 110, 119 and 129 satellites do.

You can try the LNB on that pan but you may have signal problems with 118, this would also depend on your location, as the signal from 118 is not the same all over the place.

Satbeams comes up with a 25 to 30" dish for that bird, this depending on location.

You can check it your self by going to the link below and zooming in on your location, then click your mouse on it, this will give you the estimated dish size for that bird.
