Hi,

I am wondering what type od diseqc switch will need to connect both Bev (91 and 82) and DN (119 and 110), so I can connect it to more than 1 receiver ?
I am presently using a 4x1 switch right now connected to 1 recceive, will I need a diseqc switch 4x2 ? And where can I buy them ?

The only way to connect a Paid Bell receiver and DN is to use a SW21 and a diseqc as you can connect two receivers from the LNBs

Use another diseqc. Standard lnbs that support more than one receiver have two outputs.

you need another 4X1 , run cables from second outputs on LNB to that switch and run a second length of cable to the second receiver

How many receivers do you wish to connect? What type of receivers are they, Bell, Dishnet, FTA, or a mix? What type of LNBs do you have DPP, DP, or Legacy/Standard? I would think you have Legacy/Standard LNBs - just want to confirm.

well you could do a couple of things. I think the best thing you can do is make sure you have lnbs with two outputs with two diseqc switches on them then you will be able to run two receivers from this setup up. But if you want to run more than that then this is your setup. You will again have to make sure you have standard lnbs with two outputs then buy four multiswitches where you can run the two outputs to the 13V/18V input of the multiswitch. You need four because you want 110/119/82/91. Multiswitches can run you from free to $20 each. I would've recommended a DP34 if you have DP equipment but you can only run 3 lnbs into it. 13108

Two 4x4 multiswitches is all that is needed if you want to run more than two stbs. Either SW21s or diseqc switches will work with the multiswitches. Otherwise the two diseqc switches will be fine for two receivers if they are dual output.

I want to connect ny Sonicview and limesat receivers to my BEV and DN signals without having to add 4 more cables to each of the LNB outputs.
I know that there are diseqc switches that can do that, I saw a 4x2. n The lnbs are standard.
Thanks

Stman.....you have a great memory, I do have a VS 9000HD but that has been used as a paper weight till I get an xfta for it.
I have a SV Premeire 360 and Limesat Ultra that I want to connect up to the BEV 91 and 82 and DN 119 and 110 signals.
Without having to connect 4 more cable to the 2nd lnb outputs. I a 4x2 diseqc switch but is there any 4x3 or 4x4 out there ?
And what happened to Cool satellite, I went to theor website to checkout the switches and no website for them.

If I do what you drwn out for me, I would get BEV 91 and DN 119 on 1 receiver and not all 4 signals.

If you use that type switch with only one output from standard lnbs, you will limit what the receivers can receive. That would only work well will bandstacking lnbs like DP. Your best bet would be to add another 4 x 1. Very simple and straight forward.

A 4x4 multiswitch is good for 2 lnbs as long as they are dual lnbs and can be used for two sat signals such as 119,110 or 91,82. All the SW21s do is tie the two together. Reread my post and I said for more than 2 stbs use that configuration. The 2 4x1 diseqc switches are the best way to go for 2 stbs as long as they are dual lnbs which would be needed for either set up.

I have never heard tell of a 4X2 diseqc but that doesn't mean they don't exist. One other thing comes into play here when you start messing with oddball type switches or over complicating things. First they are a pain to troubleshoot and secondly does the receiver even recognize that type of switch. Is it 1.0, 1.1 or some other protocol?

8 Inputs and 2 Outputs - works like 2-4x1 DiSEqC switches

Hey D-troit

Thanks for the help but I have a question about the installation setup for the diagram you drew up for me.
What do I set the ports at ? For example; the 91 and 82, 119 and 110 is connected to a Zinwell multi switch and then to a sw21 switch to a receiver,
do I set both switches ? Or do I just set the sw21 switch ? And at what ports, 91and 82 at port 1 and 119 and 110 to port 2 on the sw 21 ?
I am not sure about the port settings for this setup you had given me ?

Thanks

13257So with this setup with 1 multi switch for BEV (91 and 82) and 1 multi switch for DN (119 and 110) and then Bev and DN connected
to a sw21 switch to each receiver.
What ports do I set in the installation setup ? Do I have to set the ports for the multi switch and the sw21 switch on each of receiver ? Or just the 2 ports
on the sw21 switch ? For example; do I set 91 and 82 (BEV) on the sw21 switch to port 1 and 119 and 110 (DN) to port 2 for example ?
Need a abit clarification on the port setup for this diagram that D-troit drew up for me.
Thanks
