WALLACE, BOBCATS EDGE BUCKS IN CHARLOTTE

Charlotte, NC (Sports Network) - Gerald Wallace scored 21 points, grabbed 14 rebounds and dished out four assists, as the Charlotte Bobcats held off the Milwaukee Bucks, 94-84, at Time Warner Cable Arena.

Flip Murray added 16 points and six rebounds for the Bobcats, who had lost four of five coming in. Stephen Jackson tallied 12 points and five rebounds, and Stephen Graham and Raymond Felton each had 11 points for Charlotte, which improved to 11-4 at home this season.

Brandon Jennings ended with 24 points and seven assists for the Bucks, who have lost three in a row and six of seven. Luke Ridnour donated 17 points off the bench, and Ersan Ilyasova chipped in 12 points and five rebounds for Milwaukee, which fell to 3-10 on the road this year.

The Bobcats, who led by as many as seven in the first quarter, held onto a 23-20 lead after 12 minutes of play.

Charlotte opened the second period on a 13-4 run. Jackson's pair of free throws capped the spurt, making it 36-24 with over 7 1/2 minutes to go until halftime.

The Bobcats used an 18-4 burst moments later to take control. Murray tallied six points during the stretch, including a layup to give Charlotte a 56-32 margin with about 1 1/2 minutes remaining. The score was 56-34 at the break.

The Bucks outscored the Bobcats, 28-18, in the third to get within 74-62 heading to the fourth. However, Milwaukee never got closer than 10 in the final frame.

Game Notes: Bucks head coach Scott Skiles benched center Andrew Bogut and guard Michael Redd for the entire second half. They each scored two points and shot a combined 1-for-10 from the field in the first half...Milwaukee defeated Charlotte, 95-88, on November 20 this season...The Bobcats shot 42 percent from the field, while the Bucks made 38.5 percent of their shots...Charlotte had 23 assists, compared to 12 for Milwaukee...The Bobcats blocked eight shots.
