MAGIC DOMINATE SECOND HALF TO SHOOT DOWN BUCKS

THE SPORTS NETWORK

Orlando, FL (Sports Network) - Vince Carter scored a game-high 25 points, Dwight Howard posted 17 points and 10 rebounds, and Orlando rolled over Milwaukee, 117-92, behind a 76-point second half.

"We limited them to one shot. We took care of the ball and were able to get out in transition," said Carter.

Orlando could not find its collective stroke in the first half, but Jason Williams and company started shooting down the nets in the final 24 minutes. Williams scored 16 points, including a 5-of-5 effort from beyond the arc, while Mickael Pietrus contributed 15 points. The Magic shot 55.8 percent for the game and made 10-of-21 from beyond the arc. Orlando won four of five on its five-game homestand.

Brandon Jennings paced Milwaukee with 20 points, Luke Ridnour added 16, Andrew Bogut contributed 15 points and 10 rebounds, while Ersan Ilyasova donated 13 points. The Bucks have lost four straight and seven of eight overall.

"We let them get going and then the basket looked like an ocean to their shooters," Bogut said of Orlando's second-half offensive surge.

The Bucks' burst out to a 21-11 lead on the heels of an 11-0 spurt capped by Ilyasova's trey. Orlando tallied the next six points, and Milwaukee held a slim 25-21 lead after 12 minutes of game action.

Milwaukee took a 49-40 edge on a Michael Redd jumper in the waning moments of the first half, and the advantage stood at 49-41 at the half. It was one of the lone shots Redd made in an uncharacteristic 3-of-12 shooting night.

The second half was much different, as Orlando broke out in a big way.

The Magic took the lead, and with it all of the momentum, with a spirited 13-0 splash highlighted by plenty of long-distance marksmanship. Williams drained a pair of threes during the stretch, and Matt Barnes' two free throws opened a 73-67 game in the third. Barnes drained two more buckets in the late stages of the third, and Orlando took a 79-74 edge into the final 12 minutes.

Those minutes produced more of the same, as Orlando reeled off 14 consecutive points after a Hakim Warrick jumper had cut the deficit to 79-76. Pietrus and Williams started the stretch with consecutive threes, Williams drained another moments later and Carter's jumper put an exclamation point on the run, the contest and pushed the advantage to 93-76.

Milwaukee never threatened the rest of the way.
