Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - Chris Kaman poured in 26 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, as the Los Angeles Clippers used a strong second half to take down the Philadelphia 76ers, 104-88, at Staples Center.
Baron Davis had 20 points and seven assists for the Clippers, who had lost four of five coming in. Marcus Camby ended with 14 points and 10 boards.
Rasual Butler chipped in 14 points and five rebounds while Eric Gordon added 13 points, five rebounds, and five assists for Los Angeles, which outscored the Sixers, 55-37, in the second half.
The Clippers were without head coach Mike Dunleavy, who aggravated a herniated disc in his lower back at home prior to the game. Assistant coach Tony Brown took over the coaching duties on Thursday.
"My teammates did a great job of getting me the ball. We didn't do a good job in the first half but we were patient. That was the main thing," Kaman said.
Lou Williams finished with 19 points and five assists for the 76ers, who had a two-game winning streak snapped to drop to 2-3 on their six-game road trip.
Elton Brand had 17 points and six rebounds while Andre Iguodala tallied 12 points, seven assists, and five rebounds for Philadelphia, which shot just 37.6 percent from the floor.
"We anticipated winning tonight. We jumped out pretty well but didn't sustain it with our second group. We are better than we showed tonight," Sixers head coach Eddie Jordan said.
Trailing by two entering the second half, Los Angeles opened on an 11-1 flurry to go in front. Butler drained a pair of three-pointers during the burst, which Kaman capped with a jumper to make it a 60-52 game with about 8 1/2 minutes remaining.
Ahead by five moments later, the Clippers used a 14-4 spurt to build a 15- point lead. Camby ended the run with a trey to make it 78-63 with six seconds to go. Williams made a pair of foul shots to pull Philadelphia within 78-65 heading to the fourth.
Los Angeles held a double-digit lead for the length of the final stanza.
Down 12-10 early in the first quarter, the Sixers went on a 19-4 run. Brand's slam put Philadelphia ahead 29-16 with less than three minutes remaining. The Clippers closed the period on a 10-2 spurt to get within 31-26.
The 76ers maintained a small lead throughout the second and took a 51-49 edge into the locker room.
