Shimano reels are the best.they will last along time.
OK ending up getting the Static Ci4 2500 reel. It's sweet.
Shimano for sure.
all my reels are shimano's u can't go wrong with a shimano
I use to be pro staffed by shimano, for the price and the type of bearings shimano uses, you are getting by far a much smother reel and drag system then you do with just about any competitors. The other benifit is that if by any chance something does fail on your reel its much easier and more times then not is a no charge repair by shimano. The Stradic is the most tried and tested reel ever built. In Ontario you can get them normally from 150-200$ spend the money, you get what you pay for.
I agree, I have used a Stradic for over 10 years and love it.. Shimano is my choice for reels and bike derailers.. Um unless someone wants to pay for a full campagnolo super record derailler and group set, I will pay for the frame and the balnace of the dodads.. Damm things are made out of carbon fiber and the set will set you back 5K..
I just wind them up on a stick, works every time, saves a ton of money.
And a 1/4 stick with a dip net saves time also.
