Solar Eclipse for the Central West Coast of the US.
OK we are on track for the solar eclipse tomorrow, starting at 5:15 PM running to 7:40 PM. (San Francisco)
This eclipse will be viewable from the Oregon California border, through the central West coast areas of California, across Reno Nevada, and down into Texas.
Don't look directly at this one as it will be what is called a "ring of fire" eclipse, this means that the moon will not completely cover the sun, a small ring will still be visible, this ring can do damage to your eyes, sun glasses will not protect you, welding goggles may.
The best way is to use a pin hole viewer, this can be made from two box tops, one with a small nail hole in the center, the other with a white sheet of printer paper on it, this will give you the safest way to view the eclipse.
