Loading files to Kbox (USB or Loader)

There are 2 ways to load files to the receiver.
1 USB Stick
Download the file you want to load to your receiver to your computer and unzip.
Transfer file to usb stick.
Turn off receiver with remote control
Insert usb stick in receiver and turn on receiver with remote
Receiver will boot up at usb menu
Arrow to the file you want to load to receiver and press ok
DO NOT INTERRUPT THE DOWNLOAD PROCESS
When file loading is completed receiver will re boot
It is safe to remove usb stick at re boot

2 Loader
With the receiver OFF at the back switch,connect receiver to computer with cable (serial cable).
Open the loader on your pc and select the right Com Port which will usually be Com 1
If you are using a USB to serial adapter ensure the driver for the device is installed and the correct com port is selected.(Go to MY Computer(with the USB to Serial plugged into the same USB port you used when installing the drivers) and right clicking and selecting Properties. A window will appear where you need to select Hardware and then Device Manager and another window will open showing all devices on your pc. Scroll down the list to the Ports(Com/LPT) and click the little + next to it and the category will expand to show you all deveces listed under that heading and you will see the name of the USB to serial adapter listed there and showing what port its installed on. You will now use that port on the loader.)
Make sure the TO RECEIVER is selected on the loader
Press the browse button on the loader and select the file (from your computer) you wish to load to the receiver.
Press the start button on the loader and you will see a message that says " Connecting...please wait". Turn on your receiver from the rear switch and download will begin
DO NOT INTERRUPT THE DOWNLOAD PROCESS
When file loading is completed receiver will re boot
It is now safe to close the loader and disconnect the Kbox from your pc and re connect to your television.

The loader can also be used to download files to your computer without going to any website.
Open loader on your computer
Press the red button (down arrow)
A message will appear about the latest bin
Press ok and a new message will pop up with the latest bin version available.
Press yes if you want to download it to your computer.
Please note 2 files (unzipped) will download. One is for the Prodigy (k1pro) and the other is for the Plus (k1plus)
Alternately you can transfer the loader to the USB Stick and when you complete the above process the files will download directly to the usb stick.

Note: Make sure you do a Factory Reset after every file you load.
