Media Not Available bug

I've had my cw4000 running for years. Everything works great except for the Media Not Available msg I get it whenever I use the app exit button on the remote(if the receiver has been on for a few hours), when escaping the satellite. I then have to go into putty, and use the shutdown.sh command.. I've tried factory resets, recovery disks, etc. Been there, done that..... I'm using the 2.1.0.1.17 file. I've got a 750gb HDD in it, and I've upgraded to 4GB RAM(channels change faster than OEM receiver after your cache builds). Any ideas?

I have 4 3ks with 17r2 and sc on them ,they do not do that, with the exception of the ps haveing problems . But the app exit always works. I had funny problems on two of my boxes when the battery on the mb needed replaced . Does app exit work on the other apps ? Do you have the 2.5 bios on your 4k ? Look and see if emergency exit is set to on I will look at mine , if you do not know where to look I will need to look later and post back .

You know the more I think you sead it only happens after a few hours , it is probably the sc . What sc are you using ? With 17r2 it needs to be 4-22.

How do you check the bios version? I think I have version 2.0 for sure. I'll check the emergency exit setting when I get home tonight. I don't think I've ever touched that. The app exit works on other apps. Thanks for the reply.

I don't think I have the 4-22 file on it. That may be the problem. I'll check it tonight. thanks

Bios version is under the CW-LMC at boot up . My 3kr2 is the same mb as the 4k , I have the old bios ( not 2.5 ) on it . If you don't have 4-22 then that is the problem. 4-22 was made for CW-LMC 17r2 and iks . The old sc works well with 16r2 os . 4-22 sc reads 1.0.0.0 on version name or 9.8.0.0 can't remember will look and post back . I do not know if you need to do your ps info over after 4-22 install so make sure you have it . Also took me several on off cycles to get 4-22 to update . It was there after the os told me new third party software has been added.

The problem is that the sc on my receiver won't update to 4-22. It installs properly, but when I check the sc version in system it reads 0.9.3 04-13-10. I'll reboot a few times, and maybe it will update. Maybe my 4-22 bin is corrupt? Thanks again

No that is right 0.9.3 04-13-10 is in the system. In plugins it will say 1.0.0pre-unknown
What sc was on befor 4-22?

Mine are exactly the same as yours, so I guess the 4-22 bin loaded. My bios is 2.5. It shows when it first boots up. Thanks again
