I was just wondering how to get dish on a pc. I have a dish 1000+ which is all set up with multiple receivers. 2 subbed, 1 limesat. I have a computer which i built with i7, 8gb ram, and a gtx 660ti 2gb. I have a few questions for you if you don't mind.

Is there a pci card I can buy to tune dish network signals in hd? If so which one.

Can I use iks with this?

Will it work on windows media center?

What all programs do I need?

Is it worth it over those cheap Chinese glitchy receivers?

hey buddy well u can get ur self a (((((genpix skywalker1)))))) thats a dvb usb card will do everything u want and more as for programs the list is getting bigger and bigger are you using windows base? linux maybe u want to play around it dont matter what u use as long as u have this dvb card its endless and yes it is way worth it over these fta little boxes $ i wont lie its not easy like upload a file and there u go it works theres more to it but u learn so much about this !!when u build a system from a pc it is so much more stable no freezing other then server issue u can rewind pause record streaming to other pc or ur ceil phone lol and add things like xbmc how about recording a show all month long and u dont have to do anything other then set it up it will do the rest then just sit back one night and watch the months worth of programing u recorded, when the dish is down u can still watch movies out ur ying yang! want to know more pm i can help u get away from the money pit boxe$ but its is a bit more to get set up all said and done $ i wont lie everyone i know who has gone this route has not even looked back at fta boxes lol sorry boys not bashing ur pretty black boxes but !!! ok well hope this gives u some insight !! pm me if u like
