I just replaced the electronic ignitor in my gas oven broiler, it will glow but fails to ignite any gas. Any ideas?

If the igniter is glowing brightly but no gas ignition the problem is most likely the gas valve. The valve is usually a 2 stage system that has 2 solenoids that control diaphrams that control the flow of gas. One coil is usually a holding coil that opens up when the cycle is first started and the 2nd coil opens when the igniter reaches a certain resistive value. The 2 coils are a redundant safety system to shut off the gas in case of failure. There are also other factors in this loop. Coils and diaphrams can be replaced but i would not reccomend this if you are not experienced.................
^^^thanx, are there 2 valves (one for the broiler and one for the oven)? My oven works fine, its just the broiler(top) not working. The ignitors is as far as I will go, will call in a pro...
