Someone gave me a 36" KU dish and I was curious if I could integrate it with my current 110/119 SV-360 setup.
I have some Chieta Disecs,DPP Seperators, and a DPP44 laying around if needed. I have also thought about getting a motorized setup for the KU dish. Would this work with the SV?

You can certainly use the dish and would work with a motor. Separators and fta receivers don't work. You cannot combine dpp dp with legacy lnb into your fta receiver.
So are you saying i will need another STB? Isn't there an LNB that can do both KU and DISH?
Yes there is, an Invacom QPH-031 will do both circular (Dish) and linear (sat 97W) polarizations.
And I have had no problems using it for a dual setup, I used a DP twin for 110/119 on a fixed dish and the Invacom on a 1 meter motorized dish for looking through the Clark belt at other satellites.
Just setup the Diseqc switching for 119 = Diseqc port #1, 110 = Diseqc port #2 (from the fixed dish) and the Invacom on Diseqc port's 3 (the circular output) and 4 (the linear output) for the motorized dish.
Use the Chieta switch as the DPP44 wont work too good with the Invacom.
The coax from your receiver MUST run through the motor first before any switch.
I had this setup running for many years before I dumped the dish side.
No, I'm just saying the equipment you were given cannot be combined with the dp or dpp l n b. But of course if you want to start spending money you can buy different l n b, and motor and combine as Terryl mentioned. With a dish you can do anything. I was given a dish, changed the l n b and use it to boost my internet.Quote:

Then these switches were added c/p There is no problem combining Legacy and DP/DPP equipment with correct switches.

The only problem with using a DPP44 switch is the power inserter (or any switch with a DC power inserter) it can't go in-line with the motor, you have to run a separate coax for the switch's power.
So the switch needs to be a self powered one, (takes the DC voltage off the coax from the receiver) if you use the DC [power inserter for a DP44 switch and it's located in-line at the receiver end you will over power the motor.

I think I am going to setup a seperate dish for now to test the KU feeds. I have a feeling i will be dumping Dish soon anyway.
