I'm pretty sure your receiver will not power up the lnb you will likely need one of 2 things # 1 a power inserter or # 2 a bell or dish ird.

Yup that is true ..sub will do it

you could also swap out for legacy lnb's and use a switch.

i have a viewsat max hd and the same lnb and mine works just fine. yes you use one cable to lnb.

lnb type will be ocs-dp or dishpro
diseq on and 91 assigned to port 1
diseq on and 82 assigned to port 2

shouldnt need a power inserter unless an extra lnb is added to the in port

pretty sure he's going too need one when i had a vs the onlyh way it would power up my dp quad at my cottage was with a p/inserter.

DPP lnb draws less than 500mA. More if another lnb is connect to the input.

There are several posts asking the same question. Right now I would get a Dreamlink or Jynxbox clone.
As for the router I would upgrade it.
