is there any new files for viewsal ultral?
the box is just for true FTA now fella.
What i'm understanding SD boxes don't work any longer.
And who wants to watch SD anyhow.

To the best of my knowledge there has been no new files out for these older stb's in sometime...or close to 8 yrs for some all though some of these older files have been modified to work with the client though the pc. From what I've seen close to all the sd is still up and viewable with the older stb's at present. From what I've read they are going to or changing over to mpeg4 which most of the older stb's are mpeg2 so if they do or once they switch everything over these older stb's will be null and void. But to when that will be only the providers know.
Best way to tell how long it's been since a new file came out is to go to the file section and check the post date in the upper left hand corner of the post...that will give you a good idea on how long it's been since a file has come out for an stb...if it's been several years since a file was posted for an stb then the chances of a new one coming out is slim to none. You can also check the date on the file being used at present with a lot of these older stb's and that will give you an idea on how long it's been since a new file came out or was modified to work. For example file PFTAUSW-070421U.PGM...going by the date it came out originally in 04/21/07.
If I recall right Viewsat was one of the companies sued by DN. Typically one of the results of such suits is the promise to not code pirate files. But VS got shut down--that "weather" dongle got them. The only reason that the code got modified for IKS was that there was a hobby coder that was interested in doing work on it. Shame that the owners of the boxes did not take that work and build on it!--as I recall it was done publicly right here.

Why the OP chose to thank the only statement that had little to no truth to it is unclear.
I don't imagine it matters much about the experiment in psychology as el pig and I'm just guessing is a one hit wonder, hence the remark of all you can expect from a pig is a grunt. If el pig shows and ends up a solid member I'll surely make it right with him.
As far as getting grunted well it isn't the first and won't be the last.
well if a normal person only uses 10 of their brain el Pig only uses 0.1 percent lol i am with whoknows on this one sorry jvvh
