AB switch for 2 receivers?

Can anyone recommend an AB switch for flipping between a single satellite incoming feed, and 2 receivers?
I don't think the cheap AB switches work very well at high frequencies.

Or perhaps there is another way?? I don't want to unscrew from receiver 1 and move to receiver 2 back and forth.

I'm looking for an easy way to flip a switch from receiver 1 to receiver 2 when needed. Only 1 receiver is running at any given time.

I used to use one for the same purpose and I think it was just a cheap one maybe from ebay. Sorry but I don't remember much about it..

A single satellite setup for two receivers would work better with a dual or quad output LNB, that way you don't have to worry about fubaring up something when switching between receivers.

If you go with the A/B switch then be sure both receivers are totally off power wise, this will help keep the DC switching problems down to a minimum.

It also depends on the type of LNB you have, if it's a Dish or Bell DP type then the switch needs to be rated out to 2.5 to 3 GHz, one used for CATV or off air TV will not work too good, it also needs to be a break before make type on the contacts, this means that the one side is totally disconnected before the other side connects, this keeps the two receivers from connecting to each other and avoids internal LNB power supply damage.

What satellite are you looking at? And what type of LNB is on the dish now? This info will help us help you better.

It's actually an old setup from several years ago...... old dual lnb 91 82 each with their own cable, and feeding into SW21 switch inside.

I would like to have a way to switch from FTA to regular receiver if needed by using an AB switch, rather than unscrewing and moving the RG6 between receivers.

I wish a simple AB switch would work, but doesn't sound like that is a good idea. I really don't want to pull in a whole separate set of cables, and only ever using 1 receiver at a time.

If the LNB's are the old legacy type (DC voltage switching) then a SW44 switch could be used,(two cables from each LNB) this way the two receivers would be fed independently, the switch can go outside and use the two coaxes coming inside to the old SW21.
