I took a hard hit by lightning to my setup and lost a power supply to my hellobox v7.
Is there someone here with a bricked box they cant use I could get the power supply from?

Thanks

From my experience with power surges & lightening strikes:it isn't likely that the damage stopped @ the power supply.I have found that far more fragile smds/chipsets suffer at the same time.Power supplies are fairly robust compared to the smoke filled chips they power.Just my own bad luck talking out loud ...
All things considered, especially the price of a new Hellobox- I would invest in a V5+ or the new V8.

I verified the rest of the box was ok by swapping a power
supply from another v7 I have and it's just the power supply as the v7 works fine. After reading about all the problems with the v5 and v8 I would like to stick with the v7.
I have a V7 lying around, using the V5+ for now until my new V8 arrives.
Not trying to be picky ii was hoping to find someone that had bricked their v7 and was unrecoverable as I only need the power supply. Maybe I can delve further I already identified the cheap plastic fuse is bad. Thinking a cap or transformer has failed also. By the looks of both power supplies they get hot enough to melt the 120 plug where it attaches to the board.
If your interested in my V7, send me a pm and will figure out the details.
