My asc1 took a hit that took out the logic board. Going to titanium sat I didn't know Brian discontinued this in 2019. Looking around the only thing I see even worth looking at is the vbox which I already have and don't like it. What are you guys using?
Sorry but I use a Vbox, can you google a replacement PCB for the ASC1??
And I have ALL my satellite stuff(and other stuff) behind a good UPS system,(I have more then one) and it has insurance, if anything gets by the UPS I get new stuff.
And the board may have popped a fuse, or the over voltage MOV may be bad, does it power UP?
I installed a new audio video receiver after a failed onkyo. All the wire pulling from various devices a spaghetti nightmare led to one of the 36v drive wires being pulled from back of asc1. When I saw what happened the first thought was to re insert wire without thinking to kill power to asc1. Upon re inserting said wire I noticed a flash and that is what started this. Replaced fuse at power in and I have a light on asc1 that's it. It also has apparently taken out the lnb at the same time.
I believe thus because my dish was stuck at 101 and didn't move. Connecting a meter directly to the lnb after no signal to dreambox shows signal that changes when moving dish but no signal quality or lock.

Well after looking around I found a pic of the PCB, if I see right there are several MOV's (big blue disk looking things) on that PCB, look to see if there are any connected to the 36 volt outputs, they may have popped due to a surge.
I will reach out to Brian. I believe the memory has been corrupted or wiped. The background light comes on as it should and goes off like normal. Nothing on display.
