When, during the year, does BuzzTV Global have the best prices for their IPTV boxes? They have 15% off now. Could I get a better discount? I'm in no particular hurry. Also which is better the BuzzTV X5 Al 64GB or the Classic?

it usually doesn't get any better than 15% off especially when it's everything
I prefer the x5 but check out the comparison chart
What do you prefer with the X5?
Ya, like DU said, 15% is pretty much the best it gets. We always have the 10% using the "satfix2021" code, but 15% is pretty much the typical holiday sale. Sometimes it is only 10%, but they throw in an extra remote or something else. But pure discount, this is it.
All the boxes are great. But personally I prefer the Classic, and that is simply because of the remote. I prefer the BT-250 remote over the BT400. But that is personal choice. I prefer the layout, the 4 programmable buttons, and the mouse pointer control which is great for non-TV designed apps.
And the transition to USB-C for power is nice also, since replacement power supplies are pretty easy to get. The X5 AX-C has USB-C, but not the AI.
Software-wise however they are pretty much the same, so you can't go wrong with either.

How about the BT-400 and the BT-250 remotes? Any noticeable pluses one over the other? I like the looks and layout of the BT-250, but looks aren't everything.
BT-250 has 4 programmable "learning" buttons on the top. You can point your TV remote to it, and learn up to 4 buttons from your remote. Typical are TV Power, Source, and VOL+/-. Also, BT-250 has a "mute" button, which I don't believe the BT400 has one. And the BT-250 also has an air-mouse feature (similar to a Wii remote) which is quite handy for apps that are not native AndroidTV apps.
The only advantage I see on the BT400 over the BT250, is the backlight, which the BT400 has, but the BT250 does not. And the BT400 is a little smaller.
I think the newer BT350 (coming later this year) will be similar to the BT250, but it adds backlight and a mic.
Smart remote because unlike the BT-250 that has the 4 learnable keys you can program, you can go through and sync the BT400 to match your TV (like a universal/smart remote). But keep in mind it does NOT work with all TVs, and for a lot of the functionality it relies on the CEC features between the box and your TV also. So you have a single power button, and in theory the single button would turn on your TV, which in turn would turn on your box.
It works I guess for newer name brand TVs, but I prefer to have 2 separate sets of buttons on the remote. A separate button for box power, and another one for TV power. Just personal preference. This way I have control on what the 4 programable buttons do. Hell, since my TV always stays on the same input source and don't really need the "source" programmable button, I ended up "learning" the "sleep" key from TV remote to that key and now I can just press the "source" button on the remote and it cycles through the "30m, 60m, 90m, 120m and off" for my TV sleep function. Perfect in the bedroom.
But it is all personal preference I guess. And if you have an older TV or some "off"-brand, don't count on the "smart" features.

Okay, having a tough time deciding. The price is exactly the same, would you pick a BuzzTV "Classic or a BuzzTV "X5 AI 64GB" ?
