how to play games on TV, by using SONY PLAY STATION2

hi guys i got SONY PLAY STATION 2, MODEL#SCPH 300001, SERIAL#U1625711, so i like to know,

1)- is this Console can i use to play Games on TV or just this console good to play games on PC.
2)- and i like to know is this console can be Modify, to play Games with out Disc etc.

if this is possible to modify then it is worth to spend time on this console or not.
