Sat 91 use to have over 500 channels, about a week ago, I did a rescan and now only getting 317 channels.
There are several transponders that have no tv channels, does any one know that's happening?
Thank you for your responce in advance.

You posted in the c band forum. Are you referring to Nimiq or Galaxy 17?
Sorry about that, I was referring to Nimiq
Check those blank TP's against the 91W list at Lyngsat.com to see if there are indeed suppose to be channels on them. If so are you getting good S&Q on those blank TP's? You can try scanning those TP's individually and see you get channels on them that way. I have seen when an LNB starts to go bad some TP's will not work any more, try swapping out that LNB with a known good one and see if that gets the missing channels back.
Hi, MavrickThanks for uour help, I've already checked Lynqsat 91W list they do have channels, and did rescan each
individual blank tp and did not get those channels in.I'm beginning to think that your right about the LNB going bad,
I'm going to swap, and will get back to you to let you know, again, thanks a whole lot for your help
Yes, an LNB swap would be your next step, remember to turn off your main power before disconnecting anything in your system.
Are you sure you are not pointed @ 82.
Mavrick, I swap out the LNBF aand it's the same half the sats are weak signal and the rest 317 channels come in.
I bet the ones with weak signal moved to HD.
Hunter11, on top of antenna setup I have Miniq 91 W showing, but thanks
Don't think anything has been moved to the 82 satellite. I scanned 91 on the weekend and got much more than 317 channels.
If you've changed the lnb and still had the same result, and you're getting signal on even numbered tp's on the other satellites, I would look at the switch and cable between the lnb and switch.
Nothing has moved on those two sats.
Hi Folks, I swapped out the Diseque swith with a brand new one , no difference, I'm still not geeting those odd
number sats, I also forgot to say that all those sats that I'm not getting are vertical, and this is only for Nimiq 91w.
Thanks, need more suggestions
What type of lnb for 91w, and what are the settings?
I am not getting north on my Limesat for days.Anyone else??
I've had a LNB do this as well.
Gm, folks I redirected the 91w lnbf directly to the receiver did a scan and same problem,
no quality signal on all vertical transponders, need more help.
Thanks
Sounds like your reciever has gone south, can you borrow or do you have a ccess to another reciever to test the scan?
Ok just for ****s and giggles while I was testing out some new features on a Prosat HD this morning I did a new scan on 91W.
TV 541 channels and Radio 88 channels. 629 total is just about right.
So we can concluded that the Sat is still in orbit and working as it should.
What about if they are HD now?
On the list of transponders, all the verticals have no tv channels or radio channels !
What type of LNB is it?
What are the settings in the Receiver for it?
If these are all ok and you say you swapped out the LNB and have the same problem then swap out the 110 LNB with the 91 LNB and see if the problem moves. ( Bad, new LNB YES I have had that problem)
If this is still happening then do a factory reset of the STB and see if it still happens.
If all that fails borrow a STB from someone and test it out. Either that buy another STB as a spare (you should have two anyway).
If the new STB works than guess what?
A- it's a wave frontier lnb M209
settings on reciever are: lnb freq 11250, lnb type normal, 22khz off, diseqc # 3, legacy SW off, motorizes system off.
on top it has found:7.Nimiq 1 (91.0W)
I tried that too, by using lnb 110 for 91, and 91 fro 110, still had same problem..
I don't have a factory reset just a factory default, I dosen't this erase everything.
So, if next step is new receiver...which is the best one right now?
Thanks
Yes factory reset (default) usually erases everything. But is sometimes can fix software issues.
To bad you can't find one to test first though.
I'm testing the new Prosat HD with the Android attachment right now and like it.
You could get more info on all the receivers by asking in the different sections though.
Ok, after factory default and imput all info, and did rescan, back to same as before, no vertical signal
on 91W, back to square one, thanks Benny
