dont think it will happen.Mayweather is undefeated and wants to stay that way! i say pacman knocks him out in the forth round...sats:tehe:
this is why it never happenshttp://i54.tinypic.com/ejtmax.png
Don't mean to sound biased..Lol.But here's another against Morales..

mannys only going to fight 2 or 3 more times--martinez said he will come down to 150 to fight paquaio but i think thats suicide for sergio-bradley will sign with top rank when his legal battle is over plus there is the winner of cotto-margarito--so there is a few ways to go
If it doesn't happen soon it may not be worth watching. Both fighters are getting older and Manny is taking on the tougher fighters. Even though Manny wins his fights he usually suffers more damage than Floyd with some cuts etc. Floyd suffered virtually no damage against Ortiz except for the cut lip caused by the headbutt. This is probably all part of Floyd's strategy. Floyd may be an ass....but he's no dummy when it comes to making money in boxing.
It`ll happen little buckaroo-------------I`ll stake your life on it !
Your life isn`t at stake buddy-------------------she`ll never leave you.....NEVER !!!!!!!

So she's like a camel right..You can ride her for miles and never go thirsty??
There will absolutely no fight between PB and Manny. As has been said , the undefeated record is the only legacy he has left to fight for , besides the obscene amount of money he makes off of the gullible public. Would even pay to see it, but its doubtful to happen. jmo
The fight is on the way, they're setting the stage. Floyd will pull this one out and retire undefeated, actually he is a better boxer than anyone at the moment. Manny's style is perfect for PBF, his hand speed was good for slower fighters, Floyd is fast and impossible to hit. He wont be able to get a good shot at him, while his straight right hand will be in Manny's huge face, how can he miss. Marques proofed that is possible and you'll see it again soon, all night long and he happens to be much slower than Floyd. JMO
i'd bet manny to win that fight but floyd has that one punch that manny can't defend now THE SUCKER PUNCH. you knew somebody had to say it i'm surprised it took this long :D
Floyd-will fight, for the biggest purse in the history of the sport-u watch!-imo
Juan Manuel Marquez: Mayweather Would Beat Manny Pacquiao
http://www.opposingviews.com/sites/d...43/manny_p.jpg Submitted by Alex Groberman on Jul 28, 2010
Add WBA/WBO lightweight champion, Juan Manuel Marquez, to the list of people who thinks Floyd Mayweather Jr. would beat Manny Pacquiao if and when the two men ever squared up.
For those wondering about Marquez’s credibility when it comes to predicting the victor of a Mayweather-Pacquiao bout, rest assured, this man knows what he’s talking about. The “Mexican Warrior” has fought both boxers over the course of his career, losing by a landslide decision to Mayweather last September, and fighting to a controversial split decision against Pacquiao in their last fight.
According to Marquez, Mayweather is the favorite to win the battle with Pacquiao because of his intelligence, agility and strong defense. In his opinion, Mayweather would pick Pacquiao apart with his jabs and quick combinations, and would ultimately will the fight in the later rounds.
Marquez had an extremely strong showing during his last fight with Pacquiao, and many would argue that he should have won both of his fights with the Filipino sensation. On the flip side, there are very few people out there who believe that he had any shot in beating Mayweather during their one-sided battle.
Between Vegas predicting a Mayweather win, and countless boxers coming out and saying that Mayweather would get the best of Pacquiao, you have to wonder where the ridiculous notion that Mayweather is scared of Pacquiao is coming from.
No ones knows til it happens and it aint happening now.
A huge..........No!!!!!!!!!.... Amigo Todd how the heck are you.................
If Mayweather wants to retire undefeated, he is wise to keep putting off the fight. Would be the biggest risk he has ever taken in boxing.
its not pacquiao, or mayweather,, ITS BOB ARUM THE PROMOTER.. he is nothing but a greedy savage and only wants to make more money for himself... He would rather have manny fight guys in arums camp,, that way arum gets to double dip on the money like he has been doing with manny for years... And as long as boxing has these greedy selfish promoters boxing in general will slowly fall apart.. This is the main reason why ufc is getting so big, and to my eyes ahead of boxing,, you only have one guy making the fights, dena white, instead of greedy promoters who could care less about boxing so long as they fill there wallets..
mannys belt should be stripped, and so should floyd mayweathers, both are the best in the division and to my eyes number one contender for each belt, since they dont want to fight each other,, there belts should be stripped and giving to worthy opponents..
I wish there weren't so much drama between them.. I think Mayweather vs. Pacquiao would make a great fight!
it won't gonna happen....because mayweather likes 60 -40...if mayweather will take 50-50 pacman will fight mayweather...money talks...my friend
... heard thru the grapevine that this isn't going to happen ;)
:golf:
... or is it only hockey players do this when they don't quite make it :noidea:
This just killed the deal..........................

If , on the other hand , it's not and you feel that the subject is still open for discussion than reopen the thread ;)

manny cant expect 50 50, after his brutal beat down loss to marquez, 60/40 split would be greatful right now.. Considering that Brandon rios don't retire him for life..
Did Manny Pacquiao Really Lose $100 Million by Not Fighting Floyd Mayweather?
1 hour ago by Paul Magno
COMMENTARY | As the numbers for the Floyd Mayweather-Saul Alvarez pay-per-view bout at the MGM Grand began to filter in, the sporting industry as a whole was buzzing about the single night, four-bout event that could wind up bringing in more than $200 million. Indeed, no matter what the final money tally says, the Septem
ber 14 card will be regarded as the richest prizefight in the history of sports. The staggering numbers generated bring one to imagine how big things could've been had Manny Pacquiao been the other name on the marquee instead of "Canelo" Alvarez. After all, Pacquiao may still be the world's most popular fighter, even despite recent losses and setbacks. And he was certainly the biggest of international superstars back in 2009, when the idea of a mega-bout with Floyd Mayweather nearly became a reality.
Following sensational victories over Oscar De la Hoya, Ricky Hatton, and Miguel Cotto, Pacquiao's star was burning brighter than ever as his team entered into negotiations with the undefeated Floyd Mayweather, who had just come back from a two-year vacation to completely whitewash Juan Manuel Marquez in a fight thought to be a tune-up for a Pacquiao contest in 2010.
Of course, fight fans everywhere know what happened next-although they may have varying versions of the story behind the story. Unable to reach an agreement on Mayweather's demand for random blood testing, the bout fell apart. One final push for arbitration failed over an inability to agree on cut-off dates. Contrary to rumors and half-truths generated since then, this was the only time actual negotiations between both parties ever took place.
A recent article by Mike Ozanian of Forbes.com puts the dead Mayweather-Pacquiao fight into dollars and cents perspective by estimating that Pacquiao cost himself about $100 million for not budging on his refusal to submit himself to true random blood testing.
Mr. Ozanian gets some key concepts confused-- like the fact that Pacquiao, as a client of Top Rank Promotions, would never get a true 50-50 split of all revenue like the self-promoted Mayweather-- but his overall concept is sound. Pacquiao missed out on the biggest payday of his career by refusing to come to terms on testing when he had the chance to do so.
However, this isn't just about one payday, as big as it may have been. Maybe this entire Mayweather-Pacquiao fiasco has been one long, three-year game of bait and switch.
It has long been my belief that Team Pacquiao used Mayweather's name and the possibility of a Mayweather mega-bout to increase Manny's value and, thereby, inflate earnings for relatively low-risk bouts against Joshua Clottey, Antonio Margarito, and Shane Mosley as well as the higher-risk outings against Juan Manuel Marquez.
The whole Mayweather vs. Pacquiao dynamic also created a situation where Pacquiao got to play the lovable hero and become a magnet for merchandising and sponsorship opportunities. The smiling, affable Pacman became the antithesis of the money-loving Mayweather and he definitely reaped the financial benefits of being almost universally beloved.
Taking all things into consideration, it could be said that Mayweather was worth more to Pacquiao as a forever unattainable alleged target than as a direct opponent, who could've produced a career-stalling loss for the Filipino superstar. As long as fans were given the impression that Manny was chasing Floyd, they'd keep supporting him, keep buying his shows, and keep his brand alive as a marketable asset.
So, while Pacquiao did miss out on a windfall twice as big as his current biggest payday, he more than made up for that lost purse by being a media darling and marketable family-friendly good guy.
Believe it or not, this fight may still come together, but only because Pacquiao is set to become a promotional free agent at the end of 2014 and because Mayweather is quickly running out of bankable opponents.
When/if this happens, expect shattered revenue records all around and a hype machine greater than anything boxing has ever seen before. But don't think for a second that it was an accident it took so long to make.
Trainer Freddie Roach insistent Manny Pacquiao could beat Floyd Mayweather
By Kevin Iole 7 hours ago
Manny Pacquiao weighed 145 for his fight with Brandon Rios (Chris Farina/Top Rank)
Count me as a skeptic: I still don't believe Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao wil ever meet.
But there are still those who do, and Top Rank's Bob Arum said it is not out of the question for September 2014.
But the question is, if the fight happens, could Pacquiao be competitive with Mayweather? At one stage three or four years ago, they were the unquestioned No. 1 and unquestioned No. 2 fighters in the world, in whichever order you wished to rank them. I have long believed Mayweather to be the best fighter in the world, and haven't wavered from that belief, but I would still rather see it decided in the ring.

Pacquiao has to beat Brandon Rios on Saturday (Sunday in Macau) in order for there to be even the slightest glimmer of hope for the bout to happen. But if it were to be signed, Pacquiao trainer Freddie Roach believes the Pacman could pull it off.
Rios trainer Robert Garcia has flip-flopped on the issue.
"Three or four years ago, when Manny was knocking all those people out and looking like a monster, I think he would have beaten Mayweather," Garcia said. "But not now, though. I think Mayweather would beat him now."
Roach, not surprisingly, feels differently. He's under no illusions and knows it would be a hard fight, but said he thinks Pacquiao would win.
"Mayweather is I think slipping a little bit, with his age and so forth," Roach said. "He can't move like he used to. He doesn't use his legs like he used to. He doesn't have the movement. He's not as fluid. He stays on the ropes a lot more. He exchanges a lot more. I think that would benefit Manny Pacquiao in a fight.
"Obviously, Mayweather is very good at what he does. I'm not saying that would be an easy fight. We'd have to come up with a great game plan. We'd have to really stick to it to win that fight. He has some flaws. Nobody is perfect out there. If we could draw those flaws out and take advantage of them, we'd be in a good spot. I still pick Manny to win that fight."
Roach is expecting a big Pacquiao win on Saturday at CotaiArena for one simple reason: He knows Pacquiao knows he desperately needs it to remain regarded as one of the world's elite boxers.
"Everybody here would like to see that happen sooner rather than later, but to get that fight, Manny knows he needs to be impressive in this fight," Roach said. "That's why I am so confident he will be impressive in this fight."
Money Team Handler States Terms for Floyd Mayweather vs. Manny Pacquiao Bout
By David King 12 hours ago
COMMENTARY | Ever since Manny Pacquiao's domination of Brandon Rios on Nov. 23, Top Rank Promotion's CEO Bob Arum has tried to convince the boxing community that he's, once again, serious about getting the Filipino congressman inside the ring with Floyd Mayweather.
Contributor Network
Of course, it's hard for knowledgeable boxing fans to take Arum seriously given the fact he's been the biggest obstacle in the way of a way of a Mayweather vs. Pacquiao super-fight.
Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer would probably agree with the assessment, and he set some clear terms for the still-demanded super-fight, making sure Pacquiao knows exactly what he needs to do if he's serious about ever sharing the same ring with Floyd.
"He's using Mayweather's name to drum up publicity of Pacquiao,"Schaefer said in response to Arum's recent statements about organizing the super-fight. "When it is convenient for him, he uses Mayweather's name. Mayweather is pretty clear, as clear as it can be. He is not going to be dealing with Arum or Todd [duBoef] or anyone else over there. He doesn't need them. If you want Mayweather-Pacquiao, then okay. Make Pacquiao available and Mayweather Promotions and Golden Boy Promotions will take care of everything. ... We are not looking to cut Arum out, this is not about not paying Bob. He can have his Top Rank logo on the banner, no problem. He can have a few seats, no problem. It's nothing to do with disrespecting, but if he thinks he's the driving force here - what [expletive] arrogance does the guy have? ... What does Arum think that he's the godfather of boxing? Who the hell does he think he is? People have to come and call him and kiss his ring or kiss his ass. That's not going to happen. It's [expletive] unheard of."
Interesting comments from Schaefer considering the fact Arum recently told USA Today that there is no animosity between himself and Mayweather. Given the history of failed negotiations between the two camps, Schaefer is certainly being more honest about the situation.
It's hard to see Mayweather vs. Pacquiao materializing as long as Arum is still in the picture.
For the super-fight to ever happen, Schaefer also made it clear Pacquiao won't get anything close to a 50/50 revenue split.
"We are using his blueprint. The same thing he said with [Nonito] Donaire, that Donaire was such a bigger star than [Abner] Mares," Schaefer added. "Okay, you know what; we will use your own blueprint. And there is no disputing, no question that Mayweather is the number one star in the sport. Mayweather is the highest paid athlete in the world. And with his TMT brand - he makes more money from the TMT brand than Pacquiao makes fighting. I've seen the numbers."
Bob Arum: Mayweather vs Pacquiao possible for early 2015

Promoter Bob Arum is once again hyping up the long desired Mayweather vs. Pacquiao superfight, telling fans the fight may happen within the next year.
For boxing fans, the Holy Grail of today's fight scene has long been one elusive fight: Floyd Mayweather vs. Manny Pacquiao. Mayweather and Pacquiao are the undeniable two biggest marquee names and greatest talents of this era, and the fact that they fight in the same general weight class means a fight between these two titans has long been discussed. Sadly though, it's never become a reality, and most boxing fans have come to accept that they will just have to deal with this as a golden opportunity forever lost to the ages.
Now, Top Rank head and Pacquiao promoter Bob Arum is rekindling the flames of Mayweather vs. Pacquiao. On the press tour for the November 22 Manny Pacquiao vs Chris Algieri PPV fight, Arum told the San Francisco Chronicle that, in regards to Mayweather vs. Pacquiao:
Both networks [HBO and Showtime] want this fight to happen. All signs seem to point to the fight happening early next year.Talk about this fight first began really heating up back in 2009, and since then there have been various points where "all signs seem to point to the fight happening", but for a variety of complex reasons, it never has. Were it to happen next year, it would be a massive fight - not as massive as it would have been prior to Pacquiao's loss to Juan Manuel Marquez and "loss" to Timothy Bradley - but still big.
But if history is any indication, the chances of that actually happening are slim. Don't hold your breath on this one folks.
Pacquiao next fights on November 22 against Chris Algieri, while Mayweather rematches Marcos Maidana on September 13. Stay tuned to Bloody Elbow for full coverage of both PPV encounters.
