No Canadian channels were working for me. Turned on my Nordvpn and they all worked. Tried my 2nd firestick with no vpn and no Canadian channels worked at the same time they were working on my other firestick with vpn. I’m southwestern ontario
Just connected at 2am and all clear again. No vpn at the moment. Thanks

Last night was a mixed bag for me. I did have some canadian channels not working without VPN (like CityTV Montreal and Toronto, CA: Cookng channel, and CA: FXX as examples). There were a few US ones also. Connected windscribe to New York servers and all worked perfectly after that.Quote:

I'm assuming it is streams from a specific source that are the issue (but I could be wrong), hopefully there is a solution found which will not require VPN, but for now, at least we have a workaround.

i had no live tv last night on any channel i tried but i watch very little tv everything said "stream unavailable" i thought it was a "my issue" so rebooted buzz box, rebooted router no luck, removed account and re entered left router unplugged all night gone all day, came home had tv for 1 hr at 6pm and then same thing every channel " stream unavailable" no tv again tonight BNN cdn , BNN bloomberg, cp 24 both, sportsents, tsns, itv anglia UK, bbc, NHL jets, CNN are some of the channels, not sure now reading all the posts if this is on my end or for everyone, i did renew recently not using vpn. 24/7 tv working on the channels i watch ( old Brit tv) james bond channel working
You will need VPN for now to get things working. CA: CNN is working for me, but many CA channels are blocked, and so are many US channels. Enable windscribe VPN, connected to New York server and all works again.Quote:

download the file make a directory for the files open the
"vpnlist file" go to the vpnbook freevpn site in the "freeopenvpn"
column note the username and password edit in the new password
save and close the vpnlist file now download all the bundles and put in the directory.
when opening the vpn go to file and load the list.

i Typed exactly the same and all i could find is VPN "Pronto" and that is not the same?
i have scanned all the way down and their is nothing for "proton vpn" in my listing. MAybe because i live in canada?

Thank you for replying, i have cyberghost installed on my PC ( no cell phone) , i am a senior and not good with tech stuff can i download cyberghost onto a USB stick and run it off that on my buzz box ? If not can i install it from the USB stick onto my buzz i prefer not to put cyberghost onto my router as i change location every time i boot my PC, not sure if this is part of problem but also buzz ox did an update about 3 weeks ago and ever since i can not record anything it records for 10 mins then stops but maybe that is because of the issues we are having?
proton has a free VPN version and i believe a paid version easiest way to find them is searching protonmail, this is also a great free, end to end encrypted e-mail service that has a paid version, even with the free version you can also send "password protected" you and the person you are contacting agree on a password then only that person can open the e-mail using that password, you can also set it to automatically delete after a set amount of time, no way in hell i use gmail, outlook etc in todays world.

I have 3 services, wicked and 2 from europe. The only problems stem from wicked with freezing and studder. Did not need a vpn. Im in Canada.

-restart the box and it SHOULD start the APK download screen..............Mine does not do that.

Remove stick from your PC, then Insert USB stick into your box, And you launch "file manager", browse to your USB stick, and you do NOT see the ProtonVPN-5.6.38.0.605063800.-production-vanilla-direct-release.apk file ?
You should be able to see the file at least.
UNFORTUNATELY it will NOT install on your box even if it could see it. Your Z+neo is an older budget box which only has 1GB or RAM and if I recall, is running Android 7. The Proton VPN app requires Android 8 or above to be installed. This would also explain why you do not see it in the play store, since it filters apps that are not compatible with your OS.
You can always try Windscribe. Their app can be installed on Android 5+. If you sign up for an account, you get 2GB/month to be able to test it. Add your email address and get 10GB. Sure it si not much, but it 10GB should last you for a few hours of testing.

Unfortunately your box is running an older version of Android, and ProtonVPN is just not compatible.
PS: Considering your box only has a very limited 1GB of RAM from what I noticed, running a VPN in the background "MAY" be a little more than it can handle. Hence it is a good idea to try something out first before buying anything.
PLEASE NOTE: This is the last reply for this issue. If you need more support getting a VPN for your box, please post in the appropriate hardware section for your box. For wicked at the moment, you "may" need a VPN to unblock channels. We will not solve all VPN installation issues in this thread.
