Is the On Demand going to get fixed? It has been crap for honestly a couple of weeks at least. I have my customers using Free Cinema because the on demand has been so crap. If it plays at all it takes up to 5 minutes to play and after 5 minutes of playing you get the “next episode” or “cancel” screen in the bottom corner. Than you have to wait another couple minutes for it to connect. I’ve had a bunch of clients tell me they are not going to renew if this continues. This definitely needs to get sorted please. Sucks that a free app plays perfectly but an app they pay for doesn’t work. I can’t keep making excuses. Thanks guys

Just tried on Smarters and was getting same results which I kind of expected. Seeing wicked looks like a reskin of smarters. 99% of people I set up are rocking firesticks. If there was a good free one that would be best obviously. Thanks

Just tried using web player, on firefox obviously, with no VPN :) That way taking any local stb out of the equation.
Movies I have no issues at all. Tried 5 different movies, new, old, and even one xmas movie and all started within 3 or 4 seconds and played without issue for at least a minute.
TV Series however is a different story. I tried at least 15 different episodes of 3 different series. I did have a few that just would not start. But most I did manage to get started, took anywhere between 60 to 90 seconds to start. Unfortunately there are many players out there which would not continue trying that long and would have timed out if something takes that long to start.
I don't know if the new servers which were mentioned a while ago have been deployed or not. But for sure movies are a lot better than they were last month. TV series do start for the most part, but you do need a player which will be able to keep trying for about 90 seconds without timing out.
Anyhow, that is my experience as of 30 minutes ago.

Is EPG partially down right now ?
Had quite a few channels with "No information".. Went in a d cleared EPG to clear what was cached and force a redownload and I noticed that most of the Canadian Channels have no EPG now. US channels seems to be fine.
BuzzTV 5, using XC and "Server EPG".
OLN and City News Toronto are the only Canadian TV channels missing EPG info here.
The EPG seems to be back to normal. This morning, mine was similar, and then when I did a "clear EPG" to force a refresh, I lost more (that was previoulsy cached I guess) :) Anyhow, all good now.Quote:

USA cnl Heroes & Icons just curious.The cnl plays just fine sort of every satereday at 6 pm est wicked epg shows Black Sheep Squadron but plays 2 shows of Renegade instead been doing it for some time.As far I know epg is correct whats listed is playing.Its doing the same on another sever.I can also get cnl on a dn sub and ota which shows black sheep squadron.All epg's are the same.

VOD is working nicely night and day ..tv series has sure been a challenge for the last month or so and receiving some not to pleasant feedback from some end users, even installed free apps on some end users but they refuse to use them due to the advertising .
Even downloading the series , they mention who has times during the day to download when most people work.

Is it possible that the episodes 16- 20 havent been uploaded after episode 15. I do not see a cover on it like 15 or below ..15 does start..
VOD Movies now points to a new storage.
Everything apart from the Drama category is now pointing at the new storage solution.
Drama will be moved over after peak time tonight
lets see how its looking compared to previous cloud storage
Tv series is still on old storage, only testing on Movies right now
So movies were only just moved over about 10hrs ago
we will test with this to see if these servers are any better then look at series if these fair better

I have had one report of freezing tonight on VOD but I was not able to duplicate it earlier in the day around 6pm.
The same end user reported the freezing again around 9:55pm eastern time.
Did it hold up during peak times on Friday night?
I myself have seen the improvement in starting the VOD , very fast to load up now, unfortunately have not watched a movie yet.

Thank you for the update. I will check his player and maybe do a clear cache on the box and have him reboot the router. It’s the only report I received tonight for a VOD issue
The speed looked good on the box as he sent me a snapshot of the speed.
