Shoppers does not appear to be selling the Vanilla version of the gift cards anymore. Bought mine at Pharmasave.
Petro Canada and Shell gas stations and Walmart sell the vanilla cards both visa and mastercard and you can check the balance at vanillaprepaid.com (vist that site to see all the images of the vanilla packaging)
if for some reason you end up with the wrong card simply go to a store that does sell vanilla's like petro or shell and use the other non vanilla card to purchase the proper vanilla (you have to pay another activation fee, but thats the cost of not making sure it was a vanilla card in the first place)
