I know this is an old thread, but I am having the same issue. Mine just stopped working. My provider has the epg it pulls the epg URL. i go to update it it it says channels updated but no info in the guide. I liked this app but with this not working it frustrating.

some updates have turned the epg off in the past, go in epg setting turn on the blue buttons and click update epg.

I uninstalled it then reinstalled it reloaded my backup guide working now. So weird I hope I do not have to do this all the time.
