Found it but turning that off made it flicker on and off even more. Anything else that could be causing this?
A few different ones.
if all fails and your having a lot of problems i ended up having to change my hdmi port. how i came to that conclusion was messing around with the cable. i moved the box one day and must of hit the cable just right and the picture went out. i plugged it back in and picture came on. try pulling the hdmi cable out of its port just a little bit and i mean just a little bit. that’s how i determined that my port was wore out. i haven’t had problems since then.
good luck finding the port of you replace it. getting harder to find that style.
Im going to head to his house tomorrow....I'll post back what I find out.
One of my T5 boxes has the wonky HDMI port, so what I did was use a AV-TO-HDMI-Converter Up-Scaler to TV
I find there is Little difference between the Two, (Pic. Quality etc.)
Jackson,
Are you running direct to a TV or through an Amp? You could always us RGB and L/R audio, it wont cut out then and quality is the same.
Couldn't figure it out.....Works perfect still on his old tv, just not the new Samsung. Went though every setting I could find but still does it like every few minutes or so.
How old is the older TV?
It could be something wonky with HDCP support* on the Dreamlink box, older TV's don't care too much about that, the newer ones do.
Have you tried all the ports on the new TV?Code:*https://www.lifewire.com/hdmi-dvi-hdcp-3276373
We tried changing to all the different ports. The old tv, sharp aquos, is about 10 years old.
I even brought my receiver to his house and it did the same thing.
