I have a 4-Stroke Ryobi weed whacker, it is great not having to mix the oil. But as mentioned it does not get the high RPM of a 2-stroke because the valves start to float at High speed.

That is why when it comes to trimmers I wont get a 4 stroke, I'll stay with 2 stroke, the only trimmer I would try out is the hybrid Shindaiwa H4, is a 2 stroke and 4 stroke combination, uses pre mix fuel.Quote:
