I will suggest you might want to read up in the Jynxbox section being that the Junxbox is a similar receiver etc.

I will suggest you might want to read up in the Jynxbox section being that the Junxbox is a similar receiver etc.
Hi auggie. Yes- I was going to do that next. I had a hunch they were simular. I appreciate it my friend.
Thanks jets. I will give it a shot. Thanks for your help my friend.
Finally getting to setting this thing up. When changing the TP's, I noticed that some on 91 get good S&Q without changing anything.
Do I have to have 'network channels' turned on when scanning?
Tried 82 but no channels would come on, they scanned but thats it.
My set up:
82 SW21 dish 2
91 SW21 dish 1
EDIT: In server settings, when I hit apply, keeps saying 'connection failed' Double checked everything I put in and all looks perfect. I have a 2nd screen beside me so I can check here and look at the junxbox as well.
Forgot, I also checked the Network Settings and IP addy and all other info shows up....
Got it to connect using the wifi adapter. Am I doing something wrong with the ethernet connection?
Checked my router and it doesn't show up on 'wired connections' (only 2 connections) but when I put my T5 back on, it shows in 'wired connections' (shows 3 connections)
When you got it to connect using the wifi adapter- did you have your ethernet cat-5 cable hooked up to the back. Just curious cause I'm also not connecting to server. It says connection-failed. I did put the right info. into network settings also!
Yeah...When I tried the wifi adapter, I never unplugged the cable.
read first page
wifi adapter apparently sux
But we both can't get the ethernet to work. Would rather hard wired. Is there something that needs to be done for the ethernet to work?
was adapter plugged in when you tried ethernet?
Nope....Only tried the adapter after the ethernet wasn't working. Maybe do a factory reset on it?
Just an update....Im waiting for a coax repair kit as I broke the cable disconnecting my T5.
Well, factory reset did nothing except make me change all the TP's again. Anyone have an idea of why it won't connect with ethernet? It has the flickering light where the cable plugs in which I figure to mean it's communicating.
Disconnect ALL Other devices running on router, and reboot router and try the Box/receiver ALL BY IT'S SELF WIRED
See if it will connect then, you may have a IP conflict, What Brand of Router/Modem are you using ?
Might want to try different Router etc.
I've got a TP Link AC5400 gaming router. I did try rebooting with the ethernet connected but still the same. Was thinking about the settings but if the wifi works, all good for me. I also have an extra wifi adapter if the one that came with it craps out.
Trying a different router is not an option for me.
To get a clean IP interface or config, need to unplug "EVERYTHING" including Receiver and REBOOT Router
so it will start A-New, once that is done then plug the Junxbox back into router by itself nothing else hooked up (make sure Receiver is set to DHCP not Static) Then Hopefully the router will assign a New IP to the Receiver & it will work ?
Also recheck Network settings info (No mistakes) on the receiver, did your Donation expire ?
Do you know how to log into your TP-Link router, If so log into it, click on advanced Tab, on left side of pane click on Network
Scroll or go down to DHCP SERVER & open it, on right side should show the Primary & Secondary DNS IP's, This is where you can
change or input a IP server you want to use, in Primary box field, input 208.67.222.123 This is Open DNS's server IP which is
like a Proxy or something close to a VPN you can use, instead of the one that is provided by who ever you are with (internet provider) You can also put that same 208.67.222.123 IP on the Receiver/Box as well, basically giving a Static IP or Manual IP
I have basically the same TP-Link router that you have so the workings of the Two routers are the same on how they operate.
Thanks for the info Auggie. Ill definitely try that when I need to hook it back up again. My T5 is still working on 82, so when that sat finally expires, Ill try the static IP route.
When you ordered your Junxbox from AliExpress, were there any issues at customs with import or duty costs you needed to address?
None....Im in SW Ontario and had no other duties or taxes after checkout.
Wonder if that means out of stock or is it that they will no longer sell it?
Time will tell!
Code:https://www.made-in-china.com/products-search/hot-china-products/Jynxbox_Ultra_Hd_Price.html
i got two of these jynxbox premier in the mail , set them up and nether of them would connect to the server by the Ethernet port they would only connect with the Wi-Fi adaptor provided with the box .
so i turned DHCP off left all line the same as they were except i set DNS Alternate to 008.008.004.004 hit apply
now it connect to the server .
repeated the same to the second box and now both boxs connect to the server by ethernet port with no WI-FI adaptor
PS i then turned the DHCP back to on and they still work
maybe it's a canada issue
Look like AliExpress no longer has the Junxbox Premium HD Receiver for sale. Another place to order is from Made in China and the cost is US$88.50, which include shipping. Email address is tonyzhesell <[email protected]> for contact.
Well, it came yesterday. Pretty well packaged. Setup was easy and it's working. One thing I don't like is the functionality of the remote but I do have a Jynxbox V3 that the Ethernet port stopped working and tried the Jynxbox remote on the Junxbox and it works great. More functionality as in the previous channel recall actually works now and navigation of the remote is much easier. Satisfied so far.
I am unable to get this box to connect via ethernet port. Ive unplugged modem, router and box but it's still not showing the proper ip address. With wifi stick there are no issues connecting but when I unplug the wifi stick and reboot my network, it still shows the wifi ip. Frustrating. Maybe a bad ethernet port?
Read post #69. I have same issue with the ethernet but haven't tried that suggestion yet as my T5 still works on 82 but hopefully it does work.
