made in china . com and aliexpress .com have lots on jynks and knock offs available
But do you know which ones may actually work or is it a try and hope for the best scenario?
I agree, if its the end, it lasted way longer than I thought it would.
Like the SV8K the NFHD was able to scan in the only tp that that had an FEC of 3/4A with 82W. Which was 12530. The DL always had an issue with this tp going back several years going by what others posted. Stands to reason if the NFHD scan it in under one it would scan in others with the proper adjustments with other tps.
As it stands right now at the moment my SV8K and NFHD are shelved. Because of a forced recent move I no longer have a dish up. Even with the dish up because of my location I was only able to locate and scan in 82W. I'm assuming that satellite was a lot stronger than 91W to be picked up this far outside the footprint. At any rate from what I have read 82W maybe a distant memory before long as have a lot of others and that will be all she wrote. As has been said years ago and has been said as of late. What may work today may not work tomorrow. A real shame as back in the day before beverly tighten the footprint I could get 91W with ease on a 18" dtv dish. Oh well life's about change and nothing stays the same. Just another in a series of changes that have gone on in the last twenty years. As for now I have ota and amazon prime. All I need at the moment.
I don't know too too much about satellite receivers specifically, but if they're anything like other stuff I've done firmware hacking on, a good place to start would probably be to dump the bootloader from the flash on the board, if such a thing exists, and figure out how it decrypts the bin. I only have one box right now and I'm using it so I really don't want to risk damaging it, so I'm not sure if I'll hack at mine at all.
If you need an old T5, I may have one if you want to mess with it. Don't have an extra power cord though. Just pay shipping and its all yours. Im in Ontario.
if you want blackjack i could extract the bootloader and send it to you for you can play around with it. let me know
