as for other servers who knows
they may switch too

The best servers will switch its a no brainer.
It's inevitable. It's a cutthroat market for IPTV sever owners. When one service upgrades to a more efficient codec that offers a higher picture quality with lower bandwidth, everyone else will follow or will be left behind in the herd. End users will have to buy/upgrade new boxes to adapt or be left behind as well.
me thinks they are just promoting new boxes , ok2 will work with the exsiting boxes , i wont believe the hype untill it happens
Stupid question. Has OK2 changed to H.265 yet? I'm still getting H.264 streams on my T1 Plus.
Well stalker client on my Pi is complaining about not loading channels looks like it’s switched over. My IPTV experience is dead now. Wish they would of told me when I ordered it that they were making the change and I needed different hardware, it worked for a few weeks. Oh well.
Truth is that even the cheapest S905X android boxes even on amazon.ca can handle h265. They can easily be had between $40 and $50 CDN including free shipping, and typically no tax, and quick delivery from amazon. You don't need any expensive box to be able to decode h265. The PI was never really designed for anything intensive, and for licensing purposes (to keep costs down) they even left stuff like MPEG2 decoding out of the default unit if I remember correctly. Great flexible little unit, but no specialized decoding hardware.
Example1, Example2, Example3, Example4, etc...
It's not like this change requires any crazy hardware. And you can use either the OK2 APK with this, or STB Emu.
It's less than a single month's cable bill...
I just tried it on my old A95X (S905X based, 8GB storage and 1GB RAM) box, which I had picked up for $30 during a lightning deal quite a while back, and using the OK2 APK, it works perfectly fine, and there is no lag/syn issues. I tested with the MTL channels which I know are h265. I just had to change the decoder to "native" instead of "hw" which is the default, and it works flawlessly. And surprisingly the channel changes were not that much slower than my Beelink GT1 which is S912 based.
The main vod server crashed early last week and some were not available. Ill ask if all have been restored
Any I have checked are working
Are they working on the servers today as Im getting 'stream not available' on all channels.....Using Buzz 3000
Sorry, good here now....Just rebooted the box a few times....
I have a Minix Neo 8,Would iptv work with this box or do I need a new Buzz box?
should be fine
Actually depends... When you say Neo 8, Is it the X8H or X8H Plus ?
The X8H is based on the S802 CPU, which does not have h265 hardware support. So if it uses software based codec, it would be able to do 720p at best using h265.
The X8H Plus is based on the S812 CPU, which should not have any issues, since it does have native h265 support in hardware as far as I can tell.
Its funny, my T1 loaded the ok2 channels today and not yesterday or the day before....even today I had to try it few times to get it to load!
but my Global Media box seems to be fine :)
except I bought my 1 year membership on T1 mac number :((
My Ok2 is terrible since the upgrade... freezing and the lip syncing is way off...
Hopefully these things get fixed. Flawless on the Mag..
Why ruin a good thing?
I understand that the upgrade has not yet taken place.
With the exception of the MTL local channels and maybe one or 2 more, no other channels have been switched to h265 yet. What device you having issues with ?
I primarily run the OK2 android app, and perfect player on a Mii Box, and have had no major issues.. On the very rare occasions, things act funny, like volume changes not synced to app any more, etc... A quick reboot of the box, fixes the problem. Probably some memory leaks in the various apps, but nothing critical (once every 2 weeks - since typically I just put the box to sleep instead of shutdown).
Ok2 was not working on Mag box anymore... tried it on an Android box... was terrible..
Thought the update had happened..
I don't know what is going on anymore..
wonder why it stopped working on the Mag254?
Going to try it on a newer Android box..
Thanks for the info.
the mag 254 doesn't support the new stream. I have a buzz 3000 and formuler z7 plus and the pic is good on both
The Montreal locals are terrible if that’s the Chanel’s that have been switched over pls pls don’t switch no more u ask if ok service works on stub emu u r told yes u purchase service 2 weeks later u r told won’t work with ur box no more u c I have 2 TVs 1 mag 254 n 1 stub emu u telling me I need 2 new boxes after I asked if it works with my boxes just 2 weeks ago I don’t get it
Why switch anyways it was running great like the best out there
My understanding is that they have been switched over. And ever since then they freeze non stop on mag 254 and stub emu systems that 3 weeks ago I was told are compatible but apparently no more and the switch is gonna eventually b on all Chanel’s picture on those Chanel’s was already great so why switch n make many users have too buy new boxes u know what I mean dish u getting no freeze on those Chanel’s cause u probably not a mag user
Actually it’s only 139 that’s freezing non stop the rest are ok tonight
