if you right click on one of the drives , you will see an option to format it...ymax it's might be the one you need, in my Thin Client, just checked, removable disk E: has an option "format", you should have it,the letter doesn't mean anything, you can change latter for any different one....
When I plug in the MJ drives G and H appear in my computer, when I click on drive H it has a format option but when I click it it says insert disc. Drive G when right clicked doesn't have the format option...
Thanks for all the help igoreshka but I'm turning in for the night and my NT duo should be here next week and hopefully it works better since it doen't go thru the PC. If you think of something else that may work on the MJ let me know...g'night all, blues.
A friend of mine who's phone is bell canada went to phone my mj us number tody and he got a message "not a valid number"
Is bell blocking people from callling magiac jack numbers?
Go to magicjacksupport dot com and do some reading. It is magicjack that is blocking a LOT of numbers...got my nettalk duo today and had it up and making calls in 5 minutes and GREAT call quality. I'm very satisfied so far and since it plugs into your router the PC doesn't need to be on for it to work. They have an official forum at nettalk dot com/forum. They also have a 50% off code good til Nov. 15...NTLKCRZYDISC. You have to order online to use it.
Been using the TK6000 (I got mine when they were selling them instead of the duo) and after a shaky start (you had to unplug it and plug it back in from time to time) it has preformed well. I have unlimited for life, because I was one of the first to give it a try, although 29.95 a year is still a great deal. They had a black Friday and cyber Monday deal... two for one. I started to buy a couple just in case my TK6000 goes out, I would have a backup. I gave my MJ to my brother, I never used it after I got net talk.
Have been using mine for 2 months now I thinks it great nice clear sound and im using it with cordless phones
Just wondering if anybody has had a problem with magicjack rebooting lately. In the last two or three days it reboots about once every hour or so. I tried the online chat on their tech support and they gave me a link for an upgrade. I tried that and about an hour later it rebooted again. I have had it for about 8 months and until now no issues.
Thanks for the reply wes block. I only have the one computer but the mj only rebooted once since I did the upgrade. It's been a few hours now hopefully its calmed down, if not maybe I will try to reinstall it.
see what happens and if your still having issues, see if you can take it to a friends and plug it in and see what happens. If it does it on 2 computers go to the MJ online support and tell them whats going on. Im sure the will replace it for you. I had one replaced (different reason). but they will want you to try everything on your end to ensure its not a faulty jack.
Let us know what happens
I am wondering if you ever try a MagicJack recovery program. This is a little program but it might help allot.I use it a loooong time ago but as far as I remember all you need to do is install it and run it, than reboot MJ.

Thanks igore and wes for your help. I checked my power options for my pc and it was set to shut off the hard drive after 5 min so I set it to never. It hasn't rebooted all day so I'm not sure if that was the cause. If it happens again I will try the file, it a good thing to have handy anyways
that makes sense, cause it reads the jack as a drive
lets hope thats all it is!
I have been using the Magic Jack for 2 1/2 years, I have had some problems and had to do some upgrades but it is well worth it
