As of next week, when streams go to h.265 you will probably have to change your ad to exclude the "Works With Mag 250/254/".. ;)
+1 for a great reseller.

I was planning to have ok2 but the fact that it supports no more mag250 and 254 makes me change the direction.
Eventually the 250 and 254 will not be that useful, except for a few selected providers.
With h265 offering significantly lower bandwidth, it is a no-brainer for servers who want to eventually provide better image quality without ridiculous bandwidth requirements. At the same time, when using multiple boxes, it significantly reduces the requirement bandwidth. And with lower bandwidth needs, it is not as difficult to keep video buffers full for those with slower connections. It's just a matter of time, and it will come quick. The 250 and 254 have had a good long run. Eventually we need to upgrade..
I have a Dlink DSM-320 Medialounger media player which worked great for years. Built in Wifi and all.. Eventually bit rates got so high, and codecs changed so much that it could no longer keep up. It is part of my museum of old media players now, but at one point, we can't stop things from going forward. We can all try to extend the life of some of our equipment (and I hear you on this), but it eventually becomes more of a chore, and limitations/restriction are just no longer justifiable to keep them devices alive.
