Well stalker client on my Pi is complaining about not loading channels looks like it’s switched over. My IPTV experience is dead now. Wish they would of told me when I ordered it that they were making the change and I needed different hardware, it worked for a few weeks. Oh well.
Truth is that even the cheapest S905X android boxes even on amazon.ca can handle h265. They can easily be had between $40 and $50 CDN including free shipping, and typically no tax, and quick delivery from amazon. You don't need any expensive box to be able to decode h265. The PI was never really designed for anything intensive, and for licensing purposes (to keep costs down) they even left stuff like MPEG2 decoding out of the default unit if I remember correctly. Great flexible little unit, but no specialized decoding hardware.
Example1, Example2, Example3, Example4, etc...
It's not like this change requires any crazy hardware. And you can use either the OK2 APK with this, or STB Emu.
It's less than a single month's cable bill...
I just tried it on my old A95X (S905X based, 8GB storage and 1GB RAM) box, which I had picked up for $30 during a lightning deal quite a while back, and using the OK2 APK, it works perfectly fine, and there is no lag/syn issues. I tested with the MTL channels which I know are h265. I just had to change the decoder to "native" instead of "hw" which is the default, and it works flawlessly. And surprisingly the channel changes were not that much slower than my Beelink GT1 which is S912 based.
The main vod server crashed early last week and some were not available. Ill ask if all have been restored
Any I have checked are working
Are they working on the servers today as Im getting 'stream not available' on all channels.....Using Buzz 3000
