have tried primary a couple of times but after a couple of issues switched to backup and left it that way

I set up all the boxes with
Live TV = Primary
VOD/TV Series = Backup
Stream Format = HLS
Never really have an issue. Try to never pause for to long. If voice I a little off after pausing just hit the rewind button twice and it will be back in sync.
Been doing that for a year now and it normally always works.

Yep, it's offline, connection refused
1-stream decided to roll back the panel to the previous version where we had stayed because things were extremely stable minus the connection point issues. We were a few versions behind because we noticed significant performance issues when we tried upgrading in the past.
When 1-stream added the 2nd connection point, they thought it would be a good idea to update the panel version simultaneously to try to get everything on the latest version. We were against this because we had issues in the past, but they assured us this was the best route.
Well, they put their pride aside and admitted there is an issue with the newer panels, and it became exaggerated quickly due to the number of users we have compared to other small services using their software.
They re-installed the previous version and modified the configuration to work with the double connection point setup, and it's looking much more stable.
We are still in crisis mode, and everything is being monitored 24/7, but I just wanted to share what seems to be a positive update regarding the service.

Well, all I can say is I'm glad I have many recordings to watch. Might be good idea moving forward to download and record more.
Making use of the trial function on other panels to give whiners some relief also

Good advice to run VOD in “backup” instead of primary player to help synchronize audio in these BuzzTV boxes,
but any opinions on which is the best of the external players?
I use VLC sometimes, but it does not work with some of our VOD movies and gets stuck with spinning orange triangle
Also, I keep Stream Format in: AUTO because some services like PlutoTV and others will only work in HLS otherwise black video

yea its weird because when we lose the channel now, if you go to menu/settings/account info its blank, like we lost communication with the server, but no message indicating loss of stream. This is a new symptom noticed recently where account info is not traceable.
