Paying for IKS subscriptions

As has been demonstrated time and time again, PayPal is that dirty piece of evidence that leads DISH right back to your front door steps. Even in the latest NEXIKS take down, the majority of the case presented to the court is in subpoenaed records from PayPal.

Instead, end users should be looking for ways to pay without having it link back to an email address, a bank account, a verified home address, or even an IP address.

Today, I learned about Green Dot MoneyPak. You go into a store (remember those days where you had to walk, take the bus or drive to get something?) and pay CASH for a prepaid charge card (except it isn't as widely accepted as VISA, MasterCard or American Express). You send the seller the 14 digit code on the back and they can add that card to their existing account. In turn, they are allowed to use that money on a number of merchants. Ironically enough, DISH network is a vendor they can pay using Green Dot.

I do not buy the paypal argument. Dish could not look into any account with-out some proof or subpoena. If paypal would do it freely they would be liable to a huge class action.

Indirectly it is a pp topic with the recent legal postings.

If thats off topic.......I find it comical, I've seen and still do see hijacks not even close, mostly gone by comic material go on and on.

When DN pops a reseller they then supoena the paypall records.. Its in the court documents .. So its an very easy argument to buy since DN's Lawyers say thats where they got incriminating evidence..
Time to catch up on some reading of court documents.. The ones on Nexiks are quite revealing..

the PP thing has been posted and beat to death.
some sellers and desperate buyers say its safe because they want the fast cash/tv veiwing.
people who have been sent letters/busted would say stay away from PP because its just icing on the cake.
just thought this thread may offer a few better/safer payment options from buyers/sellers instead of debating whether PP is safe or not.
the OP did mention PP being not so good to use and offered other methods.

that's just the way i seen this thread...not a debate about PP but about alternatives to PP.

Realistically, this thread can be for any payment method. If some feel like PayPal is still the way to go, then they can make their arguments. I believe there is quite a lot of evidence to the contrary. Once a court action has been filed, PayPal gets served with a subpoena and they basically hand over all pertinent financial, identity, banking, and address information over to DISH. There are other payment processors that would 1) ignore the subpoena because they are not bound by US laws 2) respond that they have nothing to turn over because they are an anonymous payment processor 3) be unable to be served because they are not a central body, but instead provided open source software to allow for peer-to-peer payments (as in the case of bitcoin).

Anyway, this thread is open for discussion, so... discuss away. What do you use? Why do you use it? Have you heard of others that you are curious about?

I for one want to hear from people that use Bitcoin.
