I want to be able to record a show on one channel and watch a different show on another.

Just google twin tuner satellite receiver. Keep in mind that most will be strictly for true fta.
After doing some searching online all the dual tuner STB seem to be for use overseas. I don't see any brands that are supported on this site. Does anyone know of a dual tuner STB that can be used for North American IKS?
The only one I know of is a modified dual tuner Dish Network IRD using fsec. I don't know of any dual tuner FTA boxes.
Most newer HDTV's have 2 or more HDMI inputs, if yours does then just buy a second receiver* (and IKS service for it) and use the TV's remote to switch between the two receivers.
*You may have to modify your satellite hardware setup to handle a second receiver.
Most shows can be downloaded from the net, maybe a hard drive and a media player would be in your best interest. Just say'in.

I believe you can find some boxes with ATSC tuner as well as FTA tuner. Some FTA boxes marketed for South Am have double FTA tuners--typically you use one for recording while you watch something else, but you might just need multiple dishes for that and odds are two boxes would be cheaper and have more flexibility than one double tuner system.
Sonicview 360 Elite. SD only though, and requires ihub (or whatever it's called now) if you want to do iks.
