If you're successful editing channels with a hex editor let us know how you did it, and which editor you used. I had ChannelMaster on previous sets but it dosn't recognize .UDF or .UDT files. PM me if successful.

Ali Editor was also an editing tool that shows channels but I'm no coder to try to finess this. I can't even find a UDF or UDT file opener that tells me anything. Ali Editor, I have if you want to play with it. Pm me. I just finished manually editing channels on the STB, so, have a usable UDF file for north and south.

downloaded SetEditHD100 1.5 demo version. last version didn't work. Let me know how it works out for you and if you have a full version to borrow.

My only goal when I once looked into the channel editor was to only be able to delete unwanted channels.

If you have an original JB then I think you can do it with original editor. If you have a clone JB (Jayzbox) then I think you should be real careful.

Have you found a Jayzbox (clone) editor? Most channel scan in fine using short names, just scan in that way, then edit off the junk or unwanted channels might be easiest way.

Someone correct me if I am wrong but I think any JB after 4.0 is a clone so that's how you can tell a clone.
