GOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLL

Congrats bud.........great game...I could go for another 5 like this one. Looks like Reimer gave Lundqvist his catching glove...I don`t recall him flubbing so many easy grabs.
Nice of Pacioretty to finally make it to the game........bus must have been late LOL.
It really wasn't that good a game for the Habs
The Rangers beat them to the puck, beat them to position
Covered them like a hot blanket on a cold day on offense
They were chippy, nasty ,, lots of uncalled penalties
The Habs played the last minute and the overtime period
The important thing is ,,, they got the .. W
Couldn't imagine the games outcome if they still had Subban , Weber thumped Miller and was going to rag doll him as two refs went for the ride on his back. It also woke Patchs out of his usual cowardly state we have watched for yrs ( the "C" is on the wrong sweater). Habs looked great last five minutes of third and overtime, they too also rode on the back of Shea Weber. Watched Grabner and Nash didn't realize they were cherry pickers , worse then Kessel. Price's playoffs have not been good to him as he is not Patrick Roy who can steal a series. Expecting a 6 game series going either way. Hope Anderson shakes of the jitters he had last game I thought they deserved that game till he did the I cant find the puck panic and cost them large.
As I`ve watched pretty much all the games I`m seeing a lot of uncalled stuff right across the board. Refs are letting the kids play and that IMO is a good thing because it makes for a better game. Hate a slow game when refs stop start because of stupid calls. Drop the puck and let them play is my motto.
Lot`s of stretch passes this year esp in the playoffs it seems in all the games I`ve seen...Habs were always very good at it using the puck`s speed for their breakout plays when they were "physically challenged" lol. Teams using it vs teams pinching their defense to the strong side which makes them very vulnerable to a stretch pass.....that`s the problem when you have too many puck movers and not enough defenders on defense....Leafs are very suspect to the stretch pass as they often send in the 4th forward to create offense. That`s the main reason they drop so many leads....no defenders.
Been the Leafs all season......they are finding ways to blow leads, just a different guy in the barrel at different times....
I said it a long time ago Shea Weber is the best defenseman in the NHL, has been for years............what Poile was thinking on that trade no one will ever know.
I threw a party when they traded Subby ,, Too much attention on him, took away from
22 other players on the team ,, it wasn't supposed to be that way, it just snowballed
into an avalanche .......... great thing he did for the Childrens Hospital, good for him!
The attention and fame he got, got to his head and thought he owned the Montreal
Canadiens hockey world.
WELCOME WEBBER ,, and yes, he should be C ... it's probably not a good thing to strip
Pachico ,, unless Paches wants to volunteer the C ......... apparently whether we see it
or not, Paches is a good and well respected leader both in the looker room and on the
practice ice.
Last nights game, as ugly as it was, I get it, the team is playing coach Juliens game plan
They went trough tape, sat through theory on the white board and finally practiced the
game plan ,, last night they stuck patiently to that game plan,, and it was ugly. It wasn't
until the last few minutes of the third that they turned on desperation play.
While, Webber, Gallager, Plecs, Rads, Markov, kept the game close ,, Price WON it for them.
Had Price not made that last save ,, the game would've been over
Yeah Maxine has never been a playoff guy...you know what they say about when the ice gets small. Gally was the spark no question in my mind but they all had a big part in that win......Price and Lundqvist are doing what they do to save games. "desperation" time always seems to work out well for the Habs esp in the O zone. Good game from the Habs staying in it because the Rangers can strangle another team`s offense making them look bad...that`s their game and played ALMOST perfect last nite LMAO.
Habs looked like contenders last nite........insane goal by Radulov.
Radulov fed patches all yr ...come the playoff patches stopped skating . Goes to show the Captain has no balls .I'm tired of waiting for him to grow some ,Michele send the bum and his hefty pay check down the road and make room for a real talent. Was crapping bricks when it was only 1 zip..Pricey has a bad habit of fkin up a shutout late in games. Like I said before Price is no Patrick Roy he seldom puts two good game together. I'm praying he finally gets his season going.
I`ve said this many times before....Pacioretty is Kessel on a better team. He`s the mother of all floaters and when the ice gets small and he can`t run to open areas to get his shot off he`s totally useless. He played that way in Michigan and he`s played that way in Montreal. he`ll never grow some.................all this "Wolverine" crap out of Montreal fans is garbage to the "N"th degree. Could it be that his miraculous recoveries were because he wasn`t injured that bad to begin with ????? Make the bet.
Radulov is driven, he`s a gamer and it shows every time he hits the ice he`s creating something somewhere and opening the ice for someone else (with balls)LOL.
I would never bet against Price..........I don`t think he`s everything the media makes him out to be(few are) but I`d never bet against him either.
Good luck to the Habs tonite............................wait ....what the hell did I just say?????????????? LMAO
OOOps...............hopefully the Leafs don`t follow suit. GO LEAFS GO.
Series knotted up same old tune Patches role as the invisible man continues Radulov excels by himself and Price lets in blue paint pucks. I'm expecting washy to rebound tonight, to much talent to lay down. I think Leafs would play Pitt/Columbus survivor should they knock off Washington and that's asking a lot. Go Leafs Go .
Best team won last night.3 game series now with Habs having home ice advantage.Habs in 7.
Go Leafs go !
Nice mule kick by Ott......guess he can`t change his spots always been a classless guy.
That was funny....six on six and the refs can`t see either team has too many men......but still giving speeches in the face off circle.
Rangers started that hacking ****....Smith slashed just about everyone on the ice without a penalty ...Byron twice in the same shift ...when Bryon elbowed him in his own end he started crying wtf lol. I have not seen the habs fight back for a long time ....excluding Captain Coward of course. They just might have enough to get by those chippy, pesky rangers.
That's playoff hockey !! drawing a penalty is an advantage.
sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't ,, when it does
it's something to laugh about in the dressing room between
periods.
How about all those broken $300 hockey sticks ?
I have a sher-wood hockey stick 5030, I used at the local park
hockey rink in the 70's ,, that is still in one piece. LOL
And lastly ,,,, Com'on refs !! ........ drop the puck already !!
Maxiepad had a break away and looked like a scared rabbit. It would be to much to ask your Captain to score a playoff goal wtf. Bergeron wont put up with patches crap very long. What a chippy game that was.. the habs are learning what playoff hockey is all about . Like I said before this team is much better than what they have had for the last 5 yrs. Lekhonen looks to be a bright spot along with Byron moving forward. Julien has given Patches Power play time when he should be in the press box ....Just wasting prime opportunity's IMO ,to help Maxies ego. I say Bench him and seen a message and give the team a chance. And note Galchenyuk has more offensive giveaways then anyone in the league and shouldn't be on the power play( 100% blame on shorthanded goal). Still lots of work to be done in Montreal.....Go Leafs Go...lol
Pretty much all the man said although it`s kinda late in his career to bench Maxine to send a message...he`s been hailed the hero in Montreal for doing much the same as he is doing now.....disappearing in the playoffs. Bergevin loves him cause he doesn`t make much money for a captain and now we can see why.
Always lot of work to do on every team my friend but in Montreal the window of opportunity is closing rapidly.
I think the Montreal fans and players were in shock without the last 2 min complimentary Bell Centre PP............LOL
Galchenyuk may have a ton of giveaways but Marner has to be up there with him............. I don`t think Marner is physically ready for playoff hockey yet because he`s getting pushed around and pushed off the puck pretty easy. He`s the Leafs breakout weapon and he`s young and learning....he`ll be a major weapon if he stays in one piece.
Big game for the Habs tonite..................let`s hope they can pull it out cause we`re still looking for Habs/Leafs.
I`ll go out on a limb here...while everyone is looking for Gallagher in the crease....based on past performances look for Ott to do something real stupid tonite.
Habs will miss Shaw more than they think.
Well kids the writing is on the wall already within the first 5mins....
Radulov snows Lundqvist....no call
Pacioretty crosscheck across jaw of Vesey...no call
Ott...punch in the face at bench...no call
Let`s hope the refs are letting them play.......................
Canadaian have no goal scoreer......Big trades this season for montrel.
Just another defense wins championships illustration.......Rangers kept the Habs on the perimeter pretty much the entire game esp that third period and the Rangers gobbled up all loose pucks. They simply played like they wanted it more and knew how to do it by pushing Montreal outside. Oh and Lundqvist outplaying Price had something to do with it as well LMAO......lots of work coming for the Habs this off season.
The Habs got out played at center, they'll need a big bodied centerman
And also they got out golied, Price let in a couple of uncharacteristic softies
I'm also thinking changes are needed, starting with a centerman
The better team and the team that really wanted it won. Price should have stolen a game or two but unfortunately for the Habs, he never showed up. Go Oilers, Senators and Leafs.
"TURN OUT THE LIGHTS" The best goalie on the planet lol choked again with soft goals. Media has his head so swelled he cant lift it to see the puck ,without his "D" he's no10 in the league easy.,. Patches beat up a kindergarten boy and the refs were unbelievable ignoring major penalty's and tagging for stick slaps. Lots of work in Montreal ....maybe its time for Bergeron to F..off he's had 5 yrs and their still at the same place they were before he started. Weber deal I like yet Nashville's Subban seems to have won that gig with 4-0 over Chicago impressive. Radulov rights was a few yrs back that didn't pan out till now so Bergeron hasn't really done that much but, pound his own chest. Time for a change in Montreal pretty bad when yr in and out you rely on your defense to tend goal and be the offence. Sad Sad TURN OUT THE LIGHTS thank god I'm not a Jays Fan lol....GO LEAFS GO
I see the Habs in this light:they're a .500 hockey team with a goalie that can steal a few & make them look better than they really are.You can't win if you don't score...no way. That have no RELIABLE goal scorer.Trade the child beater for a few water bottles, & go find a real 35 goal scorer.
On a side note,Price was very average as well....something you can't have in the playoffs.Even a lessor team will prevail over you.
The best team won folks, & they deserved to do so.Go Leafs go!
Many people have said...."as Price goes so do the Habs" and the evidence speaks in volumes. The Leafs have been following the Habs lead in the playoffs, so let`s hope they break that string. I`m very skeptical of the Leafs only because of their porous defense of weaklings and defense is the name of the game in the playoffs.
Price is damned if you do damned if you don`t goalie...............so calm cool and collected when he stops shots and maligned that he`s lacklustre, bored or too calm when he doesn`t. Media just goes with the flow like they always do....they write stories for people to read not caring about accuracy or fallout. Habs are getting old and that`s big reason for concern as their window of opportunity is or has shrunk. Pacioretty even with all his elevated reg season stats is nothing in the playoffs and won`t bring much via trade unless he`s in a pkg.
Noof is right, the best team won...............and now let`s hope the Leafs make themselves a better fate.
I agree Price played mediocre ...
Patches was M.I.A
Plecs was M.I.A
But let's not forget to give props to NY, they out played us and they are a better "PLAYOFF" team than we are
Nash is bigger faster stronger than us
Zuccarello out played us
Lundqvist was a better goalie
Overall they were a better team , and as it's already been pointed out, the better team won
Changes are definitely coming, this Habs team is a decent season team, but clearly not built for playoff hockey
We'll just have to wait and see what moves Bergevin makes this summer, if any at all
Price wins awards not games. Hes another Tony Romo gets paid for personal stats but cant play worth a crap in the playoffs. Trade Price and Patches along with a Ham sandwich for 2 first rounder's. Then when at the draft table let someone that knows something about hockey do the picking.
Sounds like Mr Hanky lost a bet :( ....... LMFAO
